Battery life has significantly improved, I have been listening to music for about 1 hour now and it has only used up 2% battery life.
I can´t understand how you get such a great battery lifetime! yesterday i´ve done a complete reset of my arc, reinstalled everything need and the battery drain is not gone. Also, after reinstallation, i´ve seen no update in the market for whatsapp, facebook, ... - did a manual update of them.
The facebook notification in locksreen also doesn´t working. i can see notifications of the original facebook app in the status line but nothing on the locksreen - even after 1 minute waiting for refres...
@SirRobin, I am using a Rogers phone but in Canada we did not get the update via Rogers Carrier yet. So I got some custom ROM that had 2.3.3 as part of the firmware. It loaded onto my phone no problems. I had took my phone off the charger this morning at 6.10 am and it is 10.48pm now, the phone is stating it has been on battery for 16h 19M on battery. I am at 71% right now still, I just used it to check email, light surfing a few phone calls and whatsapp/facebook checks. This is significantly better than when I was on 2.3.2 where I would be close to 30/40% at this time of day. If I used it quite heavily I would be seeing the red icon on my battery meter too. If you look at the running apps they have actually not auto started the media server function which helps a lot. Another thing I do by habit as well is when you finish charging the phone unlock the screen first then unplug the power cable. That helped me a bit in 2.3.2 and also a reboot right after. But since moving to 2.3.3 I have just done the unlock screen then unplug. I have not had to reboot it.

When you long press Homebutton to launch default task manager and choose the app it gets nicely highlighted.
I'm also happy Timescape finally gets real auto updates with missed calls and smses.

Got xperia arc as well as neo.
Some of the differences are
1.arc screen brightness is double as neo screen brightness.
2. Loud speaker of arc is clear at max vol. Neo speaker distorts. But the volume level is same on both.
3.both performs same in general operations.
4. Earphone volume is lil louder in neo. Music in both the phone is good.
Just a quick observations. Will check the camera later..
Its just 3hrs i got neo. So if anyone needs more info ask me. |

@Dummaari
If you haven't got any apps that unusual or not designed for android 2.3 installed then it looks like your FW might have corrupted itself somewhere. Backup your shizz and try a forced re flash with SEUS. When you have a clean system again install the apps you had one by one and setup it up again one thing at a time. This way you'll find out if it was an app/settting you had before or if it was just and anomaly in the system (and agents will be at your door in 3.... 2... 1.... knock knock).
I have a dig bick You read that wrong |

Hi...
How much did you get each for? Is the Neo available now?
I keep asking for it in Pune stores but it hasn't arrived here yet (no estimated date either)

Can anyone recommend a good gps app that works with Gingerbread. I'm having trouble finding one that doesn't have some sort of bug.

Xperia Arc gets 10x telephoto lens
The Sony Ericsson Xperia arc is one of the better Android camera phones on the market, with its 8.1MP Exmor R camera sensor. However, if you want to take it one step further then Thanko has the ideal accessory for you – a 10x telephoto lens attachment.
The lens comes with a special shell that attaches to the Xperia arc chassis, from which the lens is mounted. This means it should be able to easily detach when on the move. It comes with a focal length of 3 metres. There’s even a small tripod to round off the package. If you’re interested it will cost around the €17 mark. Check out some pictures after the jump

Just think what you would look like if you receive a call, with that still attached!
I'll take a look at it when I am in Japan! Twelve days to go till I leave!!
