Hi,

In the time where the latest mobile phones are becoming the new personal computers of man, I'm thinking of buying the w810i.
Why? Because I had it, had lots of fun with it, and I'm sure as hell want to have it again!
(also may be because I don't have enough money to buy an awesome android phone, but that's another story ;p)

So I'm going to buy it second hand, and I was wondering if I have to be on the lookout (apart of the wear and tear) on special versions of the phone or anything in that trend.

Thanking you in advance for helping me unite with my favourite phone

hi there. been a W810i user before. excellent unit during its time. not only it is a Walkman but a very capable shooter as well. personally, i would suggest you seriously check on the camera on any used unit you would encounter. i had the camera flash "connector" (don't know the correct term) replaced before on mine although i think i am already the most careful of users ... i guess all the other features will be ok. i think i also posted here a personal review of the unit before. hope this helps.

I think I would contact the seller and ask him for info on the phone such as the carrier he has been with and what version of the OS is installed.I've had the W810i for nearly 5 years and it's the best mobile I've ever had. I had other phones in the interim but when they malfunctioned I could always fall back on"'Old Reliable". I will never sell it. I see alot of wonderful new SE phones on their website but only a handful are available subsidized through American carriers and I can't afford to pay $400 or $500 for one. That's why I jumped right on the W810i when AT+T offered it.

Ummm, check the charging ports if they are working good, Cause i have changed two on the w810i. Thats a common problem. Not a big job if you can buy the part. Other than that, no other problems.
