My elm has problem is macro focusing. sometimes focusing correctly (rarely)
most of the time, its show blurred object on the viewfinder and focus indicator lit (and beeps sound) but object is out of focus.

this is happend even with any distance (5cm~50cm tested many times)

Firmware is R7BA085. no modded camdrivers

While lens focusing I can see lens can focus for very sharp object. but finally its stop blur position. If I rease shutter button and focus again, it focusing better than before.

all auto focus are behaving the same like that, you just have to move away further a bit to make the camera focusing correctly.
Give it a try and post the result.

I don't think its a bug, there really are times that the camera is unable to get a good locked focus and it seldomly happens, just repeat it to get a good focus.

edit: just read that you've tried it at a distance of 50cm? well that is a bit odd, usually it gets the focus right on that distance

I tried differant distances. yes it focus if I focus again two or three times.
but it doesn't focus well as that lens can do. it skipping well focus position and locked to bit blured position.
if I moved phone outward and take photo, its take great focused.
I think camera's focussing sensitivity is poor

in my experience, if we try to focus on some object that is smoother than the background, an apple on grass for an example.
I bet the camera will try to lock the focus on the grass which are having more complex object which digital focusing are intended to work that way (imo LOL)
i'm having this issues since i use k750, k770 and elm.
On k770, this issue are worst.
I recall taking a close up from chest to top of my daughter whilst she stood about 30-50cm in front of a bonsai tree which are a bit taller than her, yes the k770 are almost always focusing on the bonsai leaves.
From 7 shots i only get 1 which are focusing correctly on her face!
So, don't worry, your elm are normal
I hope anouk have time to made a manual focus driver for elm/hazel so we can decrease this problem a little.
I hope you can understand my lousy english.
Regards.

@pavithra_uk, try focusing on another part of the object that provides greater contrast. Auto focus works by looking fr an edge within te fous reticle. It will have a harder time if the background is a similar color or shade as the object. It will also have problems if the area you're focusing on is plain.

For example, taking a macro shot of the center of a ball will give the AF problems, but focus on the edge of the ball (half press and hold), then move back to the center of the ball should solve your problem
