@RickyD
I think you are too critical of this phone. Bear in mind that these are a spy pics and as we know, they tend to be unkind to phones.
I am too sure I like the application of the square design, I thought and hope they would go with the Ray kind of design.
I will, however, wait to see the official pictures before I make my final judgement.

I dunno why nobody discussed this but the Antutu benchmark score is abnormally high for something that is only using a Snapdragon 8260 CPU and running 1280x720 resolution. |

Good point!
I guess there are two possibilites, that it is not using the 8260 or as I wrote previously, that SE have squeezed out every bit of power from the processor and optimized it to perfection. They cleary have proven to be capable of the latter.
Having written that, hower, someone did post some time back that this phone is using the 8268A instead. That was some time back before we knew much about this thing and I forgot the person who posted that.

First possibility can be ruled out as software optimization only affects real world performance and not benchmark performance. Especially when you consider that the Sensation with lower screen resolution and same chipset scores about 3500!!!!
So yes it looks like it could be running the krait 8260A |

If that's the case, this would be one killer device.

I hope Sony would ditch Qualcomm and go to nvidia with their next phone, the ASUS transformer prime simply destroyed all opposing smartphones and tablets with Kal'El. its a device that's almost (if not) as fast as the PSVita!

Since Sony already uses Nvidia Tegra 2 chipset in its Tablets and Walkman Z it does not make sense for them to use Qualcomm IMO. |

^^ Then that's good, AMD did the right job selling their mobile graphics division to QC as they knew from the start they can't match neither Imagination nor Nvidia in performance, I was impressed with nvidia's dedication to improving core performance on their SoC's GPUs few might've know this but Kal'El has 60-75% the compute power (computing only not overall performance) of the GT218 core used on GeForce G210, the successor; a quadcore Wayne probably have 90-95% the computing power of the old 9500GT graphics and the octo core wayne has 125% more compute capability than the GT216 used on GeForce 220 so that means by the time it arrives we might start seeing nvidia physX on Wayne SoCs

Everyone is saying it looks similar to the HTC Touch Diamond, what about the Japanese Toshiba Windows Phone?

Looks closer to that imho. |

Uch, just when I thought I was ready to jump ship to Apple, they bring out this beast! For me this will come down to speed and how much internal storage memory it has. |

Nozomi processor is actually Tegra 2, same as Motorola Xoom. Tegra 2 is Nvidia's ARM chip name which uses ARMv7 cores. That's why it shows on the pic that ARMv7. It might not be Krait but it is better than single core processor. |

I bought the very first SE, the T68i, rebranded from Ericsson, maybe i should buy the last SE also?
I will miss Ericsson in this industry for sure.
One more, and i would've had 30 SE devices.

On closer inspection, not just the SE logo on the back but also the LED and the speaker grill look very flat and photoshopped in. I expect that rear design will be different.
Also, does anybody else have any thoughts on the buttons on the front? Are they touch sensitive spots above the light bar or is that light bar press-able?
edit:
@Dups! I am critical and perhaps jumping the gun based on spyshots, but I'm critical because I care and this simply doesn't live up to the extremely high design standard set by arc and some other designs. It's definitely reminiscent of other manufacturers' handsets, and that's just not acceptable.

Apropos 8260A, it comes with Adreno 225. But according to the NenaMark benchmark test, Nozomi (/Aoba) comes with Adreno 220 . |
