So the Arc (S) was the last flagship with the SE logo, but the Arc HD will be the last in which Ericsson was involved?
E T68 (m) > SE T68i = SE Arc (S) > S Arc HD?

Just a thought, that pic is most likely just an arc or arc s, considering the article is linking to one of gsm arena's, all if not most the info is from gsmarena. No where did it state that the pic was ARC HD in ubergizmo. |

Next announcement is only in 2012. And the first SONY announcement Q3 2012.

Nope. No "Sony Ericsson" branded phones next year. This has been confirmed by a employee on XDA.
...and WHAT is the 2012 announcement, if its NOT "Sony Ericsson" branded and NOT SONY (not until Q3 2012)?!? Sound like one year silence...
You misunderstood my post. 2012 Q1 and Q2 we will have SONY rebranded handsets. By Q3 the first "real" in house Sony developed and SONY branded smartphone will be launched.
Yes I am also quite dissapointed with the Arc HD design. Had hoped something better from the last flagship device.

Keep guessing what they will do. Do you think that Sony did not plan in advance before the buy out? Sony developed the Bravia engine and not . Sony was a lot more involved than a lot of people believe. It all started in September.
as of September 1st, 2011

From September until March is enough time to design a new product. |

I suppose one way of looking at it is to look at what happened with Nokia and Windows Phone.
In 6 months they took the N9 and adapted it to run on Windows Phone 7.
I suppose 6 months is plenty of time for Sony to put a unique stamp on the software of the existing SE solutions at least (to make them more similar to their own Android devices, the Walkman Z Series in particular), if not making outright modifications to specs or rushed new models. |

I totally agree with you but it all depends how much Sony wants to invest and focus on the mobile division.
You are right that Nokia did not do much but I believe that it was a big mistake from Nokia.
Nokia seams to believe that the phone will sell just because it is made by Nokia. That is what made them lose a lot of market shear and it will continue in the future.

The mobile division of Sony has the most potential to be the most profitable of all it's divisions and the smartphone base is growing.
We have all seen how much money can be made and I think Sony want a great big piece of that pie.

I am not *guessing*. I would love to be as optimistic as you guys to see a SONY phone by March but it is not happening. We will only see the Nozomi and a few other developed handsets till Q3 2011. The same was also confirmed by Sony itself in their Q3 earnings press conference that they will not be able to integrate SE completely into the SONY family in the short term. |

Thanks for pointing that out . If not feature-wise, then at least design-wise they go out with a bang... |

Always had the best Design.
The only thing lacked was the Hardware and late release.
Hope SONY can improve the quality of the phone, use best material for all future and SONY phones. |

It is shaping up to be an interesting phone, pity it is coming at a time when Motorola Razr brought me what I needed in a phone.
I see the RAM is indeed 1G which is nice.
Let's see how it does for the now defunct SE.

Except that its running the crappy Snapdragon 8260 dual core CPU which has been in the market since almost a year now. Arc all over again the nozomi. 1 year behind competition. And frankly I see no chance of it getting changed to krait going by previous record. |
