pavithra_uk: I agree with groovepeppy and I even wrote it once - seems to be hardware problem. I don't see, why it should not be. It's not JPEG compression problem, because the same lines are not only in video, but even in viewfinder (not so noticeable, but visible in some situations). It's growing on dark places and when you are trying to get lighter picture - like classic noise...

We can hope, we can believe...why not, but I'not waiting for miracle like that....

may be. because I saw 2 old K750i shows these line in viewfinder. its hardware fault in camera senser. Im wondering CMOS sensors may degrade with age.

in modern sensors, they get maximum performance from it. very small sensor area. manufacturing quality tolerances
etc.. etc..

finally they produce cheap sensor for the market. then, we can't trust the quality

THE MAIN THING IS TO BE KNOW, IF THIS PROBLEM GET WROSE WITH AGE ?

With only Plummy's camdriver available, I went ahead and tried modding my Elm's camera driver. Haven't tried taking much photos yet but my phone is working well and I am not experiencing the problems being reported by others that it either freezes the phone or the [phone goes back to the main menu after pressing the shutter button.

Seems that the blue and yellow horizontal lines are much more magnified in Plummy's cam driver in low light condition. It is even visible now in the view finder. I'll test this in daylight also for a day or more and see if I will revert back to the 3.9 cam driver.

that seems blue line issue is not a driver bug..?

I don't think it's a hardware issue. The horizontal bars are not in the same place every time which makes me think it's more like an epic software fail.

Elm's camdrive ver 3.8

Elm's Camdrive ver 3.9

link came from groovepeppy when I've flashed Elm's camdrive on my Hazel back then, version 3.8 of elm's camdrive I think works on both old and new firmwares, while version 3.9 I think works only on R7CA064 firmware and higher.

Hey guys: a really simple one: can you mod the camera driver to record at 640x360 instead of 640x480 because I want to upload the videos I make with my elm to youtube and widescrren is much better than 4:3.

It's a downgrade in quality, i'm not aking for a bigger video resolution but a smaller one so i think that it can be done.

What do you guys think, can you make it film 640x360 instead of 640x480?

It's the phone because it cannot give enough power to feed the senzor, the senzor is very good, even N8 has a sony ericsson senzor

Read here http://translate.google.ro/tr[....]3616%26%23entry9663616&act=url - The last posts

and here:"Very nice 'Danny ...' enjoy the performance counts ... happy.gif

I recently did a comparison test with the camera ... Elm vs. N8 cheers.gif
Meanwhile we learned that N8 senzor is reconstructed using a SE sensor (C902 recognized) ... no weird lines on the N8 interworking in compression ratio is high iso Elm except that change color more pronounced in space 'compression' (as spatege's like a vase 'blue' on a rug and not take them on the carpet ciuburile but ordered them to put on the 'fringes')... Abele this because the phones use the ' big sensors' in report 'consumption' system (as in other tests say) there is a 'power failure' of the sensor ... finally ... I've put other pics ... more details here: http://www.esato.com/phonephotos/index.php?uid=201418 "

So the senzor is perfect, it just needs more power and that's why the lines appear.

And check this out: http://www.esato.com/phonepho[....]hotos.php?pid=36789&uid=201418

Please read the links I gave and then speak. Have a nice day

I think that the people from esato are dead ...

I mean what the hell? Nowone gives a shit abou SE ELM?

Why the fu*k is this a sticky if nobody cares about it?

I mean I don't understant.

There is 10 times more activity on the softpedia romanian version about SE ELM.

Kinda dissapointing ...
