hi. 3 month old Elm user from India (also customization name for the FW)
i flashed via FOTA and got 61, my widgets too have been disabled, but since i have limited access to WiFi and GPRS costs a bucketload, i don't really mind the FB going. But i do use the calendar frequently
i was considering using SEUS, but then i noticed for some people, it had reverted 76, others had a bug free 61 re-flashed.
i don't want to loose 61, since the music player is much smoother and has the lovely new feature of "More of the same" on the Up arrow. is there any way of knowing what FW you'll be getting before SEUS starts flashing it?
and regarding the question of backing up apps during flashing via SEUS, i found all the appnames, and the app changes made stored in the MemC. open it in mass storage mode, in Win Explorer, Alt>Folder Options>Uncheck Hide OS files (Recommended)
the system folder shows up. look around in that, its all there. Back it up, after reflashing paste them back in the same folder, im guessing it should work. |

Re-upgrade your firmware with SEUS. It WILL fix your widgets.

paste it to tpa-preset-custom then simply turn on your phone.
Cheers !

Beware from updating your elm j10i2. because SEUS will update your phone with j10i firmwares. not j10i2. I think this update available only for j10i. only newly brought elm (j10i2) has latest firmware.
there are no options to select phone between J10i and J10i2 these two phones are differant.
J10i = Front camera, No GPS, No WiFi
J10i2 = No Fron camera, has GPS & WiFi

@FreshKaT i think they don't have yet a patch for that to disable the auto-adjust of the brightness..

Got a problem, looks like the accelerometer is a bit uncalibrated
X: -128 Y: 128 Z: 704
What's wrong ?
And 1 more thing, I got an old MicroSD Kingston 2GB.
It fits in perfectly, but the phone just won't work with it. It asks me to format it when i open the phone but after I enter the code (0000 as far as I know, i've also tried 12345) says formatting failed, in the servie menu says Memory Stick Status: Unmounted -- wtf? also in the file manager says checking memory card.
What's the matter? |

maybe it's time to buy a new microsd
or you can try to format the card in a computer first then from your phone...

You're right, i've tested it on a computer and it won't find it.
The adapter I used is ok, using a samsung microsd the pc found it.
I'm gonna burn that microSD |
