The white one is tempting & I can afford it but............not sure. I am looking forward to something like the HTC Sensation or something along them lines.

Nice, I shall look forward to your thoughts as this appears to be ahead in my mind now...

Is it safe to say that the Galaxy s was the next best selling phone last year after the Iphone and that the Galaxy S2 would be the same this year?

it certainly seems the best of the first batch of dual core phones

I just remembered that I only ever had 1 Samsung before and that was the D900.
That was a fairly good phone in its time too, so fingers crossed here for a 2nd good experience.

Yes those D900's were great.

@Buntoo The SGS family seems much like the iPhone family in that there is an annual progression from the latest to the next and so on. However the previous one is great and is still selling well.

I say that Sammy will keep the SGS name going for some time,ie. SGS, SGSII, SGSIII and so on. The first one has sold really well and has built a great name. Makes no sense to change it any time soon.

@masseur I thought you had the older Galaxy S for a short time?? Or am I mistaken?? Phone Arena review they give it a 9 score which is excellent & rare to see.

Ah so I do have a good memory. I am sure the Galaxy S II is in a very different league. They did say web pages load so fast that you could miss it in a blink of an eye. Network depending of course

BTW, isn't phoenix just for the captivate, or am i wrong?
the best one for generic sgs'es that i have tried is darky's rom...

guys, what is the best custom rom for the SGS that you have tried?

Yep same here, Darkys Rom is best custom rom for SGS I've tried. Fast, stable and excellent battery life.

@johnm: yes indeed... Darky's ROM surely is the best one out there for the normal SGS...
