Upgraded my vibrant to Android 2.2 and did not brick it. Works like a charm.

Xda forum has a beta of gingerbread 2.3.2. General consensus seems to be that the web browsers much better and its fast. Loadsa moaning, even tho it is a beta. Lol. There ya go.

Darky just released 9.3 of his rom.

I recommend that you use either Super Optimized Kernel http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=811660 or the Voodoo you get with this ROM. Just install Darkyrom manager from marker and set it up as you like and then just install using cwm.

LInk to galaxy s gingerbread official leaked rom. runnin it now and i gotta say..wow. its very very smooth and responsive...no bugs at all and ive had it runnin for two days now.

I flashed Gingerbread... and there is still some lag around... when you go through menus...

Not sure what phone you are using jj03...

I have used it stock... I get lag...

I'm using a vanilla galaxy S. Flashed csc, phone, modem and updated bootloader. No repartition or pit file. Getting no lag at all...

The beta ginger XXJVK 2.3.3 is not best as it has some bugs to be fixed... The best available official stock ROMs are XXJPY for Europe & JPJPM for Arabic region.



Edit: Wait for the official GB which is expected in the mid of April 2011
