I disallow anyone to copy/modify the tutorial without my written permission. I also disallow uploading the Customize files onto another server.

1. Download files:
-SE Update Service: link
-E10i Generic UK: E10i CUSTOMIZED_UK 1237-0392 10A136
2. Update your phone to SEUS.
3. Go to the following directory: C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db13740270\blob_fs .
7. Sort the files by date in descending order.
8. Look at the screenshot: http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/5554/x10deb.jpg .
9. Rename file 1 from the archive to the first file at the top (they should both be similar size (~80mb)
10. Rename file 2 from the archive to the second file at the top (they should both be similar size (~12mb)
11. Now copy both files from the archive into C:\Program Files\Sony Ericsson\Update Service\db13740270\blob_fs. If asked to overwrite, then do so.
12. Run Update Service and update your phone again.
13. After a successful update the phone will be unbranded.

Hi lollylost,

Will doing this prevent the phone from being updated by SEUS in future?

Thanks

A vrey very big thanks Lollylost to think of X10 mini owners .

I've just do it and it's marvellous, my X10 mini was branded by orange (France), and now I've got a "real" SE X10 mini without the lot of orange's applications !

Serdecznie dzie

Hello!
Thanks for the info about debranding!
Does you know if the uk firmware has Spanish language?
In case that it hasn't How to obtain a firmware with Spanish (I asked at davinci for which of their firmwares have the spanish generic and they told me that I had to flash with CUSTOMIZED FR, that contains ES language)
Thanks again!

I debranded my (Orange UK) X10 mini after I'd already applied an update via SEUS. Since debranding, it's put it back to 10A136 and doesn't acknowledge that there's an update available (it just tells me I'm on the latest version)

Is there a newer debranded version available yet?

Ahh, never mind - despite both PC Companion and the OTA updater telling me I've got the latest version, a run of SEUS finds an update (and apparently won't wipe my personal data this time, unlike when I did the debrand the first time)
