Im Using FroyoBread as my ROM for everyday use, it's the most stable, fast, complete rom i tried, although i did not try all existing roms for x8 out there but i can recommend this rom.

You can get it here: XDA Forums

Here's my Preview of FroyoBread, Enjoy!!!

So I guess the last hope of getting a 2.3 update is gone. SE has reiterated that we won't get the update. RAM issues. what a joke!

What is appalling is that SE won't update the W8 too. Does it really think that people in Asian countries etc are that stupid? SE is lame in thinking that the walkman brand will help it sell.

Btw...is there any ROM with a working timescape?

Hey, does anyone else have problems with their alarm clock on the X8.

I set my alarm but it doenst go off. If I wasn't good at getting up early myself, Id be late for everything. It's a hassle. Any ideas? Ive tried downloading an alarm clock app, but even that only worked once and then didn't go off the succeeding times.

For both of the above queries:

Switch to PrimeHD. its stable, has a good battery life and no issues with video recording or alarms.

I am on Prime HD 8.0 and the battery life is dismal. I wiped battery stat, deleted unwanted apps but the battery life is still too bad. My X8 is almost two years old so I suspect its the battery. Is there any way i can check battery health? The shape of the battery hasnt changed or anything. Any opinions?

Secondly, if I do have to go in for a battery, should I get the EP500 standard 1200mah battery or the Mugen Power's 1300mah battery? Has anyone used the latter? Is the higher price I need to pay for the latter justified by better battery life?
