Is that clock on in standby or in sleep mode (when you leave the phone for a few seconds and the screen goes blank apart from the clock)

This feature was removed since the A2 phones came in. That's called Sleep mode clock.

Yes, but that just appears when you press the volume keys.

Yeah true, maybe he doesn't know about it though, it doesn't permanently stay on but it's not much effort to press volume up/down

I know of this new one, but itīs easier with that old style to just look without toutch.
Maybe itīs to power consuming with the old style, it moves on the screen after a few minutes to, stylish .
I thought maybe some one have made a patch or a new file to download with A2!

AFAIK we don't have that patch, some others:

Ability to choose the time of illumination in sleep mode
Illumination of the settings when displaying the time in Sleep Mode
On_Off Image hours by pressing the joystick in Sleepmode

Itīvery handy if you have oil, grease, water etc on your hands and just take a look at the phone and donīt touch it!

Yeah, but like tranced said; it's not possible. There's also not a patch for it. If you have oil on your hands carry your T68, C901 doesn't like oil
Or...

Nice clock
How do you know itīs impossible?
Maybe the clock is alwayes run in the background in the black display in sleepmode with black letters and the only thing needed is to change the colour to grey like the T68?
Many of you people can change everything else in the phone, so why not the clock ?

Where is the clock locataded in the FS?

I never said it was impossible, I said its not possible and also high unprobable

The design of the clock is controlled by the GFX which you can find in tpa/preset/system/icons
Sleep mode itself is controlled by your firmware, so you need a patch.
There's a patch for "inverting colors in sleep mode" which might work

Inverting colors patch merely makes it look like the one on older SE phones.

It does not change the way it appears. Which means you can only see it when it is in sleep mode and by pressing the volume button only
