The NOkia counterpart is out!
Satio finally has a rival (on paper at this stage).
N8-00 has an on paper better but untested OS, on paper better camera, bigger battery, 80mhz faster (lol).
BUT
Has no lense cover, OS still unknown....
Would you ditch the Satio?
Should we press the SE to upgrade Satio with Symbian ^3 based OS than shipping something like an U2i?
I would very much wish SE give us a new OS that runs the new cross platform apps...

I think Se should take note of this latest release and quickly upgrade Satio with Symbian^3; increasing battery life; address all bugs; and I am sure that Satio will be one of the best mobiles on market.
Traditionally, Nokia's cameras do not produce a good quality pictures compared to SE, unless this one is an exception.
Also, the camera's form-factor.. I feel it is big volume wise.
Let's see the model when it comes out. |

N8 with a very similar hardware is not only smoother, the camera software is better and more 'pro'
Gsmarena blog claim the sensor is 1/1.9 inch which is bigger than the 1/2.5 inch one in the Satio (or the rest of samsungs)
The biggest itch of the issue with N8 people now have is:
Why no Camera lense shield
Can we remove the battery
Price wise, N8 kicks Satio ass at launch.
But by the time N8 is out, Satio's price RRP should be about the same or less.
Also it is time for them to paper launch U2i or something.
Yet, fact is N8 as the first ^3 (on paper OPEN source OS) device has a similar chipset with Satio, there IS NO excuse hardware wise that very OS can't be PORTED to Satio.
The current Satio front screen was part of the ^2 OS during when phone was shown the first time and therefore it means SE has ^3 in development.
Press SE to give us an OS upgrade and firmware update is what all Satio users should do!
After all, we want value for our $ and reward to our faith and support.

Traditionally  cameras produce better pictures over Nokia? That's mearly a matter of opinion not a matter of fact  Both companies have produced some cracking cams & some poor ones. But I would choose this Nokia over the Satio just because of what it does. If produced a phone as good a specs as this this there is no hesitation. That is only cos I personally prefer as an overall brand not cos I think they produce the better cameras cos they don't always. Cyber Shot,Walkman mean nothing. The Elm has no Cyber Shot branding & it produces some of the best pics I seen yet on a phone. It's just branding does not mean quality. Anyway I would get this Nokia over the Satio or Vivaz.Yes

Upgrading satio to S^3 wont be enough! We need a better screen (capacitive) and a 3,5mm audio jack... not to mention free navigation. N8 will be my choice and i hope the price that gsm arena give us is right...because i ve paid 600eur for my satio!!! (a rip of!) ... bye bye satio  |

Nope, I will wait for counter on this monster instead and I won't call them Satio2 SatioHD Satio's successor whatever hell is that kind of.
Satio will live on market for almost year after N8-00 start shipping such an unfair compared for me at least
I don't like Nokia icon menu even theme able to customize it also about design N8-00 look bit better than before but still not enough to meet my satisfactory.
Design come first

And about SE producing better camaras than nokia i have to disagree... my old n85 with only 5mp take almost as good pictures than satio (with daylight ) and better pictures than all my previous SE phones! |

I don't think anybody in their right mind would consider Satio to be the better phone when compared to the N8. Given that Satio is about seven months in the market it is understandable that the N8 is the better phone here.
Also agree that both companies do produce good and bad camera phone at times but to say the N85 produces pictures equal to Satio in quality is stretching the truth.
If SE takes the Satio and improves the design, make it metallic, better cam module, HD recording, HDMI port with the standard one unlike the N8's, capacitive screen, obviously S^3 though I would prefer it with Android and add WIMAX then it would be a lovely phone.
Let's see if SE is up to the task.

Well,just because Nokia put mini hdmi port now this is indispensable?How about DLNA and no wires?
And why use metal body instead carbon fiber or another strong material?
I wouldn't bet my money on something that has not even been reviewed...
Principally made by Nokia.
N8 comes to be a good option,and just this.
