Some providers do not support this service (PIN2).

I would suggest that you contact your service provider to resolve this PIN2 issue. It's the best that you can do.

Some network providers don't support PIN2, others don't give the codes to non-business customers, so you shouldn't use it three times, unless they give you the PUK2 code, which you'll need, when you have blocked your simcard with 3 x PIN2.

PIN2 won't affect your phone's usability should you enter the wrong PIN2 three times, it is independent of PIN(1). PIN2 is for fixed dialling.

Depending on what provider you're with the PUK code for PIN2 could be the same as the SIM PIN or you will have to contact your provider for PUK2. Bear in mind that some providers don't offer the service.

As far i know, fixed dialing is a security feature of your phone that let's you create, edit, and activate a list of allowed phone numbers or prefixes. When it is activated, you can only call or send messages to the numbers on the list. Here in the Philippines, PIN2 is required to enable fixed dialing.

#31# is a gsm code that works on every gsm phone. IAs you said it hides your phone number. There's a bunch of codes out there. But this doesn't come to the topic.

@tranced
Is this code #31# that hides a caller's number a network service as well? And does it work on any networks in all countries?

no, here in my country there are 2 providers TELCEL n Telefonica, im on the second one and it allowme to use this code, but I have tried on TELCEL on my same phone and it dont allowme to use the code.
Soo it depends on your provider xD

do some one knowns more usefull codes?

I know SE have and opttion to show/hide my number but it says service unnaviable...
So thats why i have to add this prefix #31#555 555 555 to be hidden

Fixed dialling works for me with the requisite of PIN2, but the prefix #31# does not. I tried calling a number using this code but the operator says 'your call can't be connected pls check your phone settings'. I believe this is a network service as well.
