SE alternative to N97 mini. |

So, I saved up some cash, and am selling some stuff to get about 300-350 pounds budget for a new phone. I'm very tempted to get the N97 mini. It has good audio quality (gsmarena tests) pretty decent pictures, wifi, gps, qwerty keyboard and a nice screen.
What does SE have to offer that will give me good music, photos and connectivity? Wifi is pretty important and a qwerty keyboard is a big plus.
Another thing that stops me from spending so much money on a brand new SE is their lack of updates when it comes to fixing bugs and adding features. I still see Nokia pumping out N95 firmwares that get new features and fixes. The SE phones I owned could've gotten new features but SE never bothered. Take smile shutter on the C510 for example, they could've and in my opinion should have also made an update to include the feature in it's bigger sister the C702. But they didn't. I don't want to spend 300 pounds on a device that will not receive updates and features after 6-12months.
So what does SE have that I need to consider?

Forgot to mention, they have to be available now or within the next week or so. I find the Vivaz butt ugly though, but that's just personal preference I guess.

How about SE X1 then? Although in that case i'd rather get a N97-Mini,but im sure the X1 is going at a decent price now that the X2 is out.
If you can wait then X10Mini Pro,but then it has a outdated screen res, and probably poor batt life compared to N97mini.
Otherwise i cant think of another SE thats available at 350pounds with N97mini specs,unless the X1 is around there.

I can't believe i'm saying this but what about samsung. HTC is to expensive I think.
I hope more people will reply as my wife wants something like that too, camera as main point. (Is this threadjacking?)

I'm fine with it, I don't need an SE, just wondering what the people here think. Also this is in the SE part of the forum, but hey, I don't mind getting some good suggestions for phones with good camera's, audio and keyboard.
The X1 has good audio quality but the camera is not that good, and it run WM of which I'm not a big fan. I don't mind Symbian or Android though.
All in all the N97 mini gives a lot of bang for your money. I currently have a Nokia 5800XM which is very good, the audio quality is amazing, gps is fast, wifi is great, battery life is very decent too, just the camera is holding me back, and I'd like a real keyboard, I know it's small, but it is just so much nicer to have a keyboard when using fring or putty because you don't lose any screen real estate, which is scarce already.

Yeah I know, as you could read in the first post, I am asking you all what SE has to offer in the same price class with the same feature set. I guess they got nothing then?

No I didn't, I am asking! If I was 100% sure I would get the N97 mini I wouldn't have made a thread asking for comparable SE phones would I ?
I think your comments in this thread are more of space-waste than this thread, if you have nothing to contribute, then don't post in it, or give me some concrete alternatives because as most people I have a weak spot for SE phones. That's why I'm asking.

This is no waste of space. I think Blerk knows that N97mini is his best option but that it's missing something. the  logo for instance. You know what I mean, somethings can suit you perfectly but you still think; nah not for me.

Exactly! I have the SE weak spot, like many of us here. I checked all the latest SE phones but maybe I missed something, or whatever. So I ask the best resource I know; the Esato forums.

I have two of those already! I guess it's gonna be the Nokia or maybe the yet to be released X10 with keyboard, or without. As long as it doesn't run WM or a dumb-os, I'm fine. I need to be able to install a GPS system with off-line maps though.
