Yeah, but then Tatto seems to consume power as there is no tomorrow from what I have read. Wouldn't be supprised if you get more usage time on Mini than Tatto on a single charge, despite Mini having smaller battery.

Lets hope so,im looking at a Tattoo brochure right now, and it seems to be running a slower CPU as well as giving better Talk and Stand By times than the Mini. So chances are if Mini aint worse it will be on par.

I don't know what is the official documentation for X10 mini, but the sample that I have, with an early SW is working around 1.5 days with one charging.

I was eying the X10 before to replace my C905, but now with the X10 mini pro, I think I found the perfect phone to replace my T39m and Z710i. There's just one thing that bothers me... The camera controls look overly simplified over the X10. Now I know the mini pro is not supposed to be a cybershot, but I hope there are a bit more controls over the camera than what I have seen in the videos. |

There are more controls in the camera, but you have to press the menu button ( the left hardware button ).

Is there a reason why one X10 Mini is dual-front and the other isn't?

A new trend for eco-friendliness is to build the battery into the device. Almost all Apple devices are like that already. This saves on production time and battery casing production. This also improves reliability since there is less metal contacts needed as the battery is hard-wired to the device.
Just out of curiosity, how many SE (Not Nokia or Samsung) users own spare batteries and external chargers?
Out of all the Ericsson and SE phones I've had in my life, the only phones I've ever had a spare battery for were the GH688, and GF788. Since the Ericsson R520, I've actually never needed a spare battery. And the only SonyEricsson phone I felt had a bad battery life, was my P800... but even that lasted me throughout the day.
A car charger is way more practical to have than a spare battery... not to mention better for the environment since less batteries have to be produced. The best are USB chargers since these can be used anywhere... car... home.. laptop.
I was originally waiting for the Elm/Hazel.. then the Vivaz was announced... now great, the X10M/MP... choices choices. My only gripe with SE is that they post all these lovely phones... and we have to wait at least 6 months before they're available...NOT cool!

@jplacson did you had any Satio? My old P800 battery was not a good thing but last me at least 2times more.

Thanks for the links Mediar!!! I'm so excited for these models to come out.
Miguel, no, I passed on the Satio when it finally came out.. it was waaaaaaaay too fat for me.
I couldn't understand why SE phones suddenly got so fat after Ericsson merged with Sony. Ericsson phones were quite thin already (even by today's standards) before the merger. My T28, R320, R520 were all way thinner than all but the W800 line.
The Vivaz and the X10 are the only ones for me, that continue the style and technology heritage of Ericsson... Sony gave us TV remote designs, and the Memorystick (I will NEVER forgive them for that crappy memory standard)
The X1, X2, Satio kinda disappointed me when they came out. I'd been looking to replace my P1i for quite some time now.. but alas, nothing really caught my eye. I loved my P1i. It died of natural causes... I've been using my C702 instead. The C702 is my beach phone... I'm not too fond of the features but it is water and dust resistant so it was the only viable option for my beach/diving phone (no, I don't take it diving with me... just on the boat)
And even though the X10M/MP are kinda thick, I think their over-all size can make up for that shortcoming. I am curious about the Vivaz as well... not so much the Vivaz Pro though...looks way to big already.
I need to see and hold the X10M/MP live for me to see if I like them enough to buy one.

Well, i still liked this phone aside the cons.. Do you guys think the 5MP camera is appropriate for the mini? For me, it's kinda too big..

boy in pink, 5MP is more than enough for any celfone cam. Anything larger than 3.2 w/ no auto focus is ridiculous. 5-8mp (8 is actually overkill) on a mobile phone with a fixed lens is where they should stop already.
I'd rather see a 3.2mp with low noise in low light than a 12mp that has so much artifacts.

You're right.. I hope the minis will have 3.12MP camera at most.. And by this may have more space for a more adequate (is the spelling right?) battery..

Don't most SE cams let you choose the picture size anyway? I'd rather have the choice.
