Tell me why is your phone special to you. And what kind of phones do you use or used to have. Tell us what do you like on it and what would you change on it.
I had 2 Lg's, a C3310 and a KG220. Than I had a Samsung, and from than I only had Sony Ericsson. First was a W300, second a K550, third a K800, fourth a G502, fifth a S500, sixth a W980 which I'm using right now and a C510 for second phone. |

My favourite brand is of course Sony Ericsson.
Currently I use an iPhone 3G 8GB as my Main phone with a SE V800 as back up.
My usage changes to match my phones - with my V630 & V640 I took a lot of pictures, listened to MP3s and with a 1GB add-on to my phone account I tethered my phones to my laptop, browsed using Opera mini and sent/received email.
I do the same on the iPhone but the big screen and 3GB included data makes everything easier. Looking to upgrade to X10 soon.
On the iPhone the only thing I'd change is the camera which is inferior to any current SE camera. I'd also prefer to sync through MPE.
On SE's the main thing I'd change is the screen - large touchscreen is now the order of the day. I will only change the iPhone for an Android powered device from SE; Symbian is out but I might consider WM7 if it's as good as the PC version.

Yes, I agree with the large display. But if we look on the good site SE is just coming up with large display phones. Like X10, Satio, Aino and Vivaz. Hope that SE comes back to the leader phonebrands like few years ago. |

Sony Ericsson. Thought i would edit my post. Sony Ericsson my favourite although i do like Nokia too and some Samsungs. I currently have a c902 which has been my reliable companion until i dropped it Since i have had my first mobile phone in 1997 i have had so many different phones and brands i would not remember them all. But whenever i use another brand for a while i always end up coming back and missing Sony Ericsson. Although they have pissed me off alot too

Sorry but for me its gotta be HTC. Fantastic build quality and are always one step ahead of everyone else . Sony Ericsson seriously lost reputation over 2009.

Tried some brands (not using very long time though) but my favourite is indeed Sony Ericsson . These phones are most suitable for me so nothing could beat them for my taste.
P.S. I may sound like a blinded fanboy above... I know they have some disadvantages and poor quality software/even hardware, especially in the newer models. Atm I'm using a G900 and don't plan on changing it soon so I'll give time to again to make a better phone. At least the ones I have owned since I switched to were great.

Used to be sony ericsson, but they're stuff is just not on par with other brands atm.
Has to be Samsung. Probably everyone will complain at this but the U600 is probably the best phone I've ever had. Well that and the K800. Samsung are reliable, well built, nice to use. Sony ericsson used to be like this but not anymore. I shall not go into detail about the W910s problems.
Haven't had a nokia since 2006. Nothing from them is really tempting me atm. Looking to get a new phone atm, not sure what brand it'll be though. |

Apple, which won't surprise too many here. I wasn't an "Apple fanboy" before the iPhone, in fact I wasn't even interested in the first iPhone. I was solidly Ericsson and Sony Ericsson for many years before getting fed up with the bugs and laurel-resting and first defecting to HTC (who disappointed me in the end with the Tytn II). But the iPhone 3G, together with the AppStore, was too close to the way I always wanted my smartphones to be to ignore it, and I haven't looked back since. Apple support their customers with ongoing updates and improvements in ways that SE or HTC would never dream of, or certainly never dreamed of before Apple, which is one of the many reasons I'll almost certanly be buying the next iPhone when it's out.
Saying that, my iPhone 3G is probably the first phone I haven't been desperate to upgrade from now it's 18 months old. If Apple no longer existed and there was no new iPhone to upgrade to in the summer, I'd probably end up keeping it for a good while yet.

I don't really have a particular brand as such, but I have many demands of which only Sony Ericsson have been able to deliver so far.
My phone must be a superb mp3 player, take decent pictures and record video in good quality.
The UI must be fast.
I want buttons and T9 for my texting, not touch screen.
If it's a slider-phone, the top 1-2-3 buttons must not be placed close to the bottom of the slider, because then my thumbs will hit the slider instead of the buttons when texting. Sadly a lot of SE slider-phones have this fault.
I've tried mp3 players in other phones, and I just can't find any that beats SE's player. SE's UI is neat and fast, unlike those slow Symbian phones. I have yet to experience a fast Symbian phone. SE's UI also provides neat shortcuts. Simply perfect.
Currently the best phone for me is the SE Aino. Great device. I'm keeping that one until a similar device appears.
SE Elm is also nice in relation to my demands, but the screen is a bit too small.
In the future, maybe I'll learn to like touch-screen phones if Swype works the way I hope it does. |

I've had quite a number of phones in the past: iPhone being my all time favorite, HTC HD2 Leo as one of the best pones I've ever had and now the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 is still yet to be tested but so far it's been awesome |
