Aino and Sation with problems... Sad sad sad... What a f**k of engeneers are those? SE is losing all of its credibility and reliability... SE is my favourite cell phone company but they should be ashamed of keeping sending to the market problematic devices as they keep doing to the date. Why don't they test them more carefully? What an imprudence and lack of consideration to it's costumers...

Well, that's my thought.

Not really news, on Friday SE confirmed to the Register that Aino was still on sale, but still admitted it had problems nonetheless - http://www.reghardware.co.uk/2009/11/27/aino_issues/

There's also a slightly revised version of the original Mobile Today article here - http://www.mobiletoday.co.uk/[....]no_hit_by_software_issues.aspx

Interesting that GSM Arena have an "unnofficial" comment from SE saying the press are making everything up, while both of the above have apparently on-the-record statements from SE confirming there are issues with the handset. Who's fibbing I wonder.

The Mirror also has a similar article from SE confirming issues relating to the TS but that it only affects a very small amount of phones - probably because the Aino wasn't on widespread release when the issues were announced.

Strange how no users here mentioned these problems, which only seem to have affected the UK as far as I can see.

If you look back, it's actually fairly rare to find serious bugs on new phones that affect everyone, or that everyone will admit to being affected by. The more complex these phones get, the more variables there are at play - as a result some people may genuinely never experience a problem, some people may see them very rarely or only while doing something they very rarely want to do, while other people will be absolutely plagued by incessant issues. The majority may well be in the first group, but if even a significant minority find themselves in the third group, that's cause for concern by SE.

In this day and age, people are used to higher standards to begin with, they also know exactly how and where to complain when they have problems, and have the power (through the internet for one thing) to make sure everybody knows about those. It also seems that after successive issues in the past with SE, retailers are a little less tolerant of dealing with all the faults, and who can blame them. The likes of CPW and Phones4U are actually doing us all a favour by using their buying power to demand better quality from SE, in the case of the Satio at least.

I was quite surprised about Aino's issues as I would have thought A200 on it to be well refined, plus, hasn't TS been implemented on A200 before - on a flip from what I can remember.

Well Aino is not a smartphone it should have less problems. I have bought phones early when they first come to market and not experience any problems. One being the c510.

False alarm: Sony Ericsson Aino hasn’t been pulled out after all (GSMARENA.COM)

http://www.gsmarena.com/false[....]ed_out_after_all-news-1290.php

"As far as Sony Ericsson themselves are concerned, their (unofficial) statement is that there is nothing happening with the Aino and the press are making this whole thing up.

Seems like this holiday season won't be troubled by the bad people from the press after all as justice scores a victory. Good luck. Aino! "
