Geez a new attack of apple and nokia fanboys in Esato!
Some people are so desperate to insult SE

Realy!? Where? all i see are people wanting SE to succeed, and getting disappointed over and over again with almost every new device. Most of them looked forward to these devices. SE do the insulting themselves just fine.

I have had a few occasions where the Aino screen didn't respond, but other than that I think the Aino is a really great phone. Everyone who has seen it likes it, but because of the problems in retail, the one person that was 'Wow - I am getting one tomorrow' ended up buying something else because it wasn't on sale anywhere!

So, the Aino has flopped and it's a little unfair - especially when it had the cool docking station, really cool headset, 8GB card and - although some people had router problems - the PS3 streaming service was excellent too.

All in all, the Aino should have been a huge success (despite not having the 3.5mm headphone socket like the W995) but I guess it is not to be for SE this Christmas.

Problems that most of us face with phones are something we live with or find an alternative solution. Others just wont tolerate the slightest imperfection so they return the phone.

I think some people are just too picky, but then again they have every right to be.

But why has the Aino flopped? Maybe because i have not seen one advert for it on tv unlike Satio.

I don't really understand these claims. Us users on Esato haven't had any real problems with Aino, and I know we're a minority but surely if there were serious faults, we would have experienced them?

My Aino is absolutely fine. Do regular people not understand how Aino works or something?

Maybe this is the screen problem people are having?
They bought the phone thinking it was a full touch screen interface rather than just the media menu and people are tapping the screen like crazy but nothing responds?
Or maybe its a genuine problem with UK phones only, as my Aussie Aino has worked flawlessly for over 2 weeks.

It's not as if the Aino's "unique" approach to the touchscreen interface wasn't pointed out as a bad idea by people here, long before its release. It may well be that some of it's purchasers ended up thinking it was a stupid idea too. It is.

Its one frigging disaster after another for SE, what with this, and the Satio being withdrawn, IMO, the writings on the wall!!

all well but why is my Aino fine?
In 4weeks I had only 2 auto-restarts, and the touchscreen froze twice too.
It started playing music on itself in my pocket once, noyhing unusual for touch.
I love the double input on Opera-mini4.2, touch-media, and regular keys for call and text.
I know it's a weird phone but we all knew that long ago. Thats why it's so great!!

well i had 2 ainos and neither had issues. strange its only happening in the uk with 2 companies. (both satio and aino)

ive had 2 nokia e72's already, BOTH have had to be replaced due to poor cosmetics. (display light leak and battery cover)
the e52 and e55 seemed to be bug ridden handsets from the get go, going by the nokia forums.

seems no one is making a reliable phone these days

I am guessing this has more to do with SE rather than the reatailers, as the K850 or W910 were withdrawn from retailers. Probably SE didn't want to get even more of a reputation.

Hi Rene,

We are expecting a firmware update to become available in the in about 4 weeks time.

If you update, please share you experience with us after you've used your updated device for a few days!

As soon as an Aussie Generic version of this firmware comes out I'm flashing my phone with it

4 weeeks is a while to wait though :-/. Perhaps there are working on some new features? A new touch-based web browser would be nice.

Strange, over here the Aino is showed like hell, way more then Satio and Yari, and its going really really well. Ask Sealover he knows what I mean.
