... but SE are too inconsistent and it really is frustrating.
The EU phones bar the Aino have poor audio reproduction while the camera quality is excellent wheras the Xperia phones, from the X1, have excellent audio quality and acceptable camera quality.
For me I would like to see the Xperia brand being the ultra high end while the EU being the high end. Everything and anything below the EU would be mid end..
Also equip the Xperia phones with the exact cameras along with the same software as the EU since the former is supposed to sit at the top end of the portfolio.
The X10 has the same camera as the Vivaz but doesn't match the Vivaz in picture quality.
I also think this should be the end of lowering the Xperia brand to mid end phones, rather do that to the EU phones as they did with the Yari.

I just saw this while going thru some reading.
Sony is show casing their new touch panel tech
extract out from the same page. Likely its an existing product....OR they already have a new phone but it was cover up with some casing except the print out of sonyEricsson.
The prototyped display device equipped with the new touch panel. Arithmetic processing is conducted by a PC connected to the device. As the pressure applied to the panel intensifies, the speed of switching icons displayed on the screen increases. In the picture, the icons are moving in the vertical direction. The display device is printed with "Sony Ericsson." |

I'm by now pretty sure it is the W150i indeed. QVGA resolution, new/different browser (the same as the Spiro has, which is definitely not A2 platform), that fits...
And no Android, some kind of Java OS on this low-end phone |

So if this isn't Android, but based on Java, it means they're standardising the interface across most of the range, which is good because it's very swish.

W150 Teacake backside... as it can be clearly seen, it is taller than X10 mini and has no LED flash.

Updated info about W150i from gsmarena:
08 June: We just received an anonymous tip about the upcoming Sony Ericsson W150i. Beside a much better quality photo, which we can't show you (sorry, guys), we also know the following. As its name suggests Sony Ericsson W150i is an entry level touch model, which is a first for Sony Ericsson. It doesn't have 3G connectivity or Wi-Fi and it's only got dual-band GSM/EDGE support. There's a 2 megapixel camera on the back. Our source goes even further saying it's not Android we're seeing here but some other type of touch UI. We find that hard to believe, but who knows. Sony Ericsson might just surprise us this time. |
