just read at sen-se that satio has been removed from sale at carphone warehouse because of software problems.
i checked the carphone website and there are no satios available on any networks, tariffs or sim free.

where i live the local service provider never has had it in store. they are slow to get new models in, and this is because they actually field test them with staff for a few months to see what they are like. anything that gives serious grief doesn't get in. probably better for them than constantly giving out replacements and having to ship back crap devices. |

Software sucks so badly. Its full of bugs, nice phone but crap UI which ruins the whole experience. |

WHy is it that you keep trashing every new SE phone?
And why is it you always trash it with claiming false, complete BS stories about them?
Is it possible you have some interests in trashing them?

Just ignore badassman, he's obviously only interested in spreading his BS negative propaganda. I have my Satio here for over a week now and I never had to force reboot it, never had anything crashed on me (except RoadSync's internal crash when trying to use it with Google Calendar), no bugs, no slowdowns, nothing so far.
Yes, I miss a true email client and a load of other things but it's not buggy at all, badassman is lying through his teeth again (he's doing the same thing in the X10 topic and that's why I suspect he has some vested interests in spreading FUD about SE's current and next high-end phone.) |

sorry to burst your bubble guys but badassmam is correct. I am by no means a negative person and am usually non-biased in my claims, hell I favor Sony as I carry many of their products but the Satio (in my eyes) has a failure UI and is indeed full of bugs. Don't get me wrong I love my phone but it's really hard to keep the passion alive when its always freezing on me. The Satio is way too unstable and lags a whole lot! Sorry to say but in terms of efficiency, the iphone and htc hd2 are better phones.
It really is too bad that it had to have the Symbian name attached to it. The aftermarket, apps, games, themes, etc...is way too weak for their so call "claims" to be the ultimate in media. I'll be getting the X10 for sure when it comes out, hopefully that one will be better.
I'm not suprised companies are pulling the Satio out of inventory, it gives too many problems.
I love the phone but..damn...flagship quality but not flagship stability.

full of bugs .... ? Hhmmm had mine for a couple of weeks now and so far it's
had one issue (trying to run a theme from the card) which needed a battery
out reboot.
Yes the UI is too much of a mix up of Symbian and SE to be any good and
battery life is fairly abismal but on the whole it's a world apart from the K850i
in terms of stability. (Yes I had one when it was first released !!)
I wonder if most of these issues are from branded firmwares ... mines straight
from SE direct so there's no branding or customization at all.
Now if the whole UI can be made to match the Media bit .... wooo hoooo
I reject your reality and substitute my own. |

I had a 5800 for 3 months and beleive me it was waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay worst than Satio in the first FWs.
Satio will get much better with FW
Satio will have its place in SE Theme Creator in the next version (official SE Developper sources)
Just be a little patient
