Hi,
there is a bug in the satio media menu.
When I copy over 2000 images/photos on Satio the media menu isn't able to recognize them all and
it stop updating for new file.
If I shot a photo, I will never see it on the media menu because of this bug, If I delete the 2000 photos all restart working ok.
Are you experiencing the same problem?

Yeah, I've experienced exactly the same problem. I have all my photos grouped into month-by-month folders, and I've only been able to copy the previous 5 months of photos onto the memory card before experiencing this problem (at around 1500 photos)
Any more than this and the satio media app stops 'seeing' certain photos, with inaccurate numbers reported in the monthly folders. New photos taken with the camera don't appear in the recent photos tab from the homescreen, or the 'camera album' & 'latest photo' folders within the Media app. (Although they are actually present on the memory card, but only visible through the file manager)
Remove a month or two's worth of photos and the problem is instantly cured, with the correct number of photo's being displayed per month, and any new photos taken instantly appearing in the recent photos tab and 'camera album' & 'latest photo' album.
It's a shame the file manager on the Satio cannot display picture thumbnails nor scroll through photos in fullscreen. You can only open photos one-by-one from the written list of filenames. The file manager has no problem handling large amounts of photo's all grouped into various folders, and this was how I viewed photos on my c905 rather than through the Media app, which I rarely used.

this is a big problem for me.
I think that we will not see a solution in firmware updates if no one claim about this problem.
Please use this email address to report the problem:

No solution I'm aware of yet unfortunately. Hopefully a firmware update may address this problem. 66stephen99 talks about the same problem in the 'New Satio Firmware' thread here: New Satio Firmware

I contacted SE and this is the reply:
Dear Davide,
I have some information that you will find useful. The database in Satio is only
set up to hold up to 3000 media files. I believe that this explains your issue.
We are still looking into this; I am not sure if this limit in the database can be
changed.

This is a huge let down by SE, on the other side, it is just another good reason to dump S60v5 and change to Android . |

Im puzzled about why you'd want to copy 2000 images to your phone.
What are you intending to use your Satio as ? a digital photo frame ?? i can understand people wanting to transfer pictures from an old phone to a new one, but why so many. Do you not have a computer to back them up onto ?

because I have a 16Gb microSD, and 16Gb microSD usually is used to manage big quantity of media files.

Yeah i get it, but why do you want so many pictures on your phone ? when will you ever have time to view them all !?
I have 700 stored on my old N95 8gb, which is cool, but not strictly necessary to me. What makes it necessary to you ?

Everybodys different, some people just like to have every photo on a mobile phone until they fill the memory...
And this is the point of a smartphone - it should definitely give you the opportunity to put as many pictures, music
and videos as you like, the only limitation should be memory capacity, like that is already done when shooting videos
on Satio (you are only limited by free memory if I am not mistaken) |

2000 photos? that's insane? my N95 8G was having a hard time transferring a hundred photo to my pc...but 2000? really?
Perhaps you may want to use a card reader to transfer all that 2000 photos to your memory card and not directly on Satio.
