Anyone else regularly use their satnav and media player at the same time ? On my old phone the sat nav voice commands would play at the same time as the music and by setting the 2 volume levels independently that worked well.

With my Satio, any voice instructions from the Sat nav pause the media player. I could possibly live with that if it then restarted but it doesn't. You have change tasks and start it again by hand.

Anyone know of a way round this ? I don't if it's an issue with the Media Player, Symbian 5 or the Sat Navs although the problem is the same with both Garmin and Sygic.

Yeah, I already complained about that. The most easy workaround, turning voice commands off does not work with the stupid Wisepilot since you cannot switch it of there. Nothing I would spend my money on. For the moment I am using the free version of http://amazegps.com/ (4.5). It is not the most accurate service but it is free, it works and you can turn down the sound down and Media player keeps playing.
