Image quality comes under the banner of 'Opera Turbo' doesn't it? Not that it seems to work.

Really enjoying the Beta3, but it drains the battery at a rediculous speed. Worth it though... Now all I need are rss feeds and a way to make it the default browser!

Opera Turbo is a handy compression system implementation. When it's turned on, Opera's servers will download the web page you want, compress it and all the picures (which look worse, obviously) before sending it to your phone.

As there's so much less data going over your phone's internet conection it speeds up browsing quite dramatically, cheaper too if charged per megabyte.

Useful for slow dial up connections at home as well on the full version of Opera, or in my case if a housemate drains the bandwidth dry downloading vast amounts of crap.

Gah, you can set it as the default browser, but my Satio ignores this when using any of the bookmarks in the se homescreen.

That's where I do 90% of my browsing from, so that makes the whole 'default' thing a bit pointless. How annoying.
