Two weeks ago was published info about new luxury phone Nokia 8800 Erdos. So we have luxury device that includes more than just expensive materials and high-quality crafting. The specifications: a 2.4-inch OLED display QVGA (320 x 240 pixel support for 16 million colors), a 5-megapixel photo snapper with Carl Zeiss optics, auto focus, video recording capabilities and LED flash, as well as a series of connectivity options, including High Speed USB (micro-USB), Stereo Bluetooth v. 2.0 (A2DP & AVRCP), WLAN, WCDMA bands: I + VIII, GSM 900/1800/1900, and AGPS, expected and Symbian S60 3rd edition on board. The phone should reach market on next month.

Finally, been waiting ages for an Arte upgrade! Does anyone know when this will be released in the UK? Hope Vodafone get their grubby mitts on this soon, I've been a very patient boy not being enticed by their promises in order to get me to sign a new contract.

Just got off the blower to Vodafone and the CSR seems to be under the impression that no Service Provider in the UK will ever carry any variant of the 8800 again! Apparently they are only going to be available in Nokia stores as handsets only! Hope he wasn't just fobbing me off to get me to uypgrade early...
Has anyone else heard similar? Don't fancy forking out £1000 ontop of my horrendous monthly bills (I do need the minutes though). |
