RIM and Apple are both proprietary AND successful. Perhaps open-source is not the way to be financially successful no matter how many friends it wins you among users.


I was thinking that. SE can learn from Apple, if they put all their developers together, and create only 3 d*mn good phones a year. A low, mid and high end one.

I would say 3 high end, One with a full qwerty for business users, one iPhone style tablet for multimedia and camera functions, and one stunningly stylish clamshell based aroud music and social networking.
