I have looked and checked everywhere for the Cingular GPRS settings. The settings posted here work for my 3650 and V70 but not for my P800. How come? Is anyone using the P800 with Cinguar. On my Nokias there is a setting for APN name that is ISP.Cingular. what is that? Do I ingore it? under GPRS, do I leave the user name and password blank (WAP@CINGULARGPRS, CINGULAR1), and only include them in the WAP profile? After hours and hours, I stopped getting the bad request message and I am actually getting the little globe indicating that GPRS is loading, but then nothing happens!! I have tried loading numerous sites, and the same thing happens. Any suggestions are welcome...

Hi,
I think that the deal with your situation is your APN. Here with my network operator exists 2 different ways to configure GPRS. One data account is intended for WAP browsing only (APN=wap.provider.com), and it restricts the rest of IP or internet adresses that are not associated with WAP/WML. The other data account is a free internet browse one (APN=internet.provider.com), and it's intended for use in PDA's, Laptops or PC's to connect with a normal browser to any open internet adress or url. I think that you should try to configure your GPRS setting so you can go into open internet adresses.

It worked fine first try for me...

The settings I use are:

On the Server page:
User name: WIXDC001@W5.MYCINGULAR.COM (must be all uppercase)
Password: ZXY203DC9K0402 (must be all uppercase)

On the Login page:
Get IP Address Automatically? Yes
Get DNS Address Automatically? Yes

All other settings are defaults.

Of course you must make sure are first paying for Wireless Internet on your account.

I hope this helps...

Service activated. Still can't get my P800 to work. When I switch my SIM to my T68 I have no problem at all with my Cingular GPRS connection. Do I check the box that says: "Use WAP account: ( )" under the WAP accounts preferred tab? I keep getting unknown error message or failure messages. Somethings missing...
