Nice pics guys, i have looked at the Pixon 12 a bit just because the very good cam.
One thing bugs me though and maybe you have an answer Davidsic. In some pics it looks like there is a clear lens above the "real" lens that opens up automatically when you start the cam? If this is the case this would be quite annoying because it would be like having no lens protection at all. Am i right on this matter? It also looks a bit sunken in so i can imagine that dust and dirt will find itīs way in there quite easy?

This looks to be the best cameraphone out there currently as far as image quality. I had a C901 which I was fond of, but it malfunctioned. Under warranty, it was replaced with a W995 which I am not happy with. Thinking about selling the W995 to get a Pixon 12.
Thanks for the pics, they all look great. |

@ehamiter
How do W995 pictures compare with C901 pics???

@mriley The W995 takes decent shots; that's not what I want though. I want to basically have a very nice pocket-sized camera that also happens to make phone calls, rather than the other way around.
Compared to the C901 though, I find the W995 to be slow (moving between menus, processing a photo, etc.) and I don't like having the lens exposed all the time. You have to wipe the lens clean before every use because you'll invariably put your finger print on it. There's also purple fringing in high contrast shots. It's really geared to be a music phone (W is for Walkman, after all) and it excels at that; it's not for me though. I rarely listen to music but I take photos very frequently.
I've read tons of reviews and it looks like the best cameras right now are the Pixon, INNOV8, Renoir and C905, but to be honest, I'm not crazy about SE so far (broken C901 and W995 which feels clunky to me) so I may try Samsung out.

Yeah sorry to hear your C901 broke
Maybe it was that website where you bought it from and there was a hardware problem, this Samsung Pixon looks very good quality but its a shame that all those types of phones are so expensive, not like budget C901

But as a wise man once said: "You can't mod a Samsung!"
Although I'm sure I will get bored of modding and go for a smart phone one day

I do not care for modding especially if the product is good enough
