I'm also wondering the same thing, bought one of these, thought it would work with my W880i or W890i, but it doesn't...

Unfortunately, post-2006 models are not supported and there are no mods that I know of that can make this useful accessory compatible with more recent handsets.

Cheers!

i guess W995 is not meant to be used in very low lit environment, and on dark places....

its a marketing strategy.... they will not make more of these if the case would be a drop on the sales
of their phones with xenon flash...

either buy a phone with xenon, or buy a walkman phone.. that simple!

Its kinda stupid not enabling it. Imagine the power of a C905 using its own flash AND an external one

of course it is meant to be used anytime of the day... and night.. its just that, the light with the LEDS, wont suffice to capture a good scene at night... maybe a good portrait, but any other stuff farther than 5 meters is way rubbish...

but it doesnt mean you cant use it at night, its just that, you wont appreciate the result that much... because the lack of Xenon.... so why in the world SE didnt place a xenon, cause theyre too busy putting it on another model, which after a good ad and a proper exposure, SE fans will say "man, this is freakin better than W995, now W995 is rubbish..."

hehehee... have seen those same lines with C905. at first launch, C905 was theyre apple of the eye... then here comes W995, now some say C905 is rubbish?! hahahahah... shmucks!

SE earns from this simple BS... the irony...
