Its faster than xp (IMO) and it has the good looks of aero. I really think its worth it for those people who downgraded their pcs to xp.
It starts really fast (about 5 seconds to start then takes about 10-15 seconds to start all you startup programs)

No don't think these free operating systems are any good they don't put a lot of money into R&D they way microsoft does i would rather go with a tried and trusted brand |

Windows 7 is awesome, been running it on both my netbook and my main laptop, no complaints at all

I wouldn't be so sure about the 'faster' bit
I'm dual-booting Ubuntu Jaunty and Windows 7, and there is not a great deal of difference in terms of startup and operating speed on my computers.
I'm liking Windows 7 a lot at the moment, but I still think think it's only what Vista should have been.

When you don't have to be running a antivirus on it 24/7 then it automatically gets faster

Sorry! Win 7 starts up just as fast as Ubuntu Jaunty even with NOD32 running If you could put Norton on a Linux distro, that'd go slow too!
I'm no M$ fan, but nobody can deny that they have made a good job of Windows 7. It is much, much faster than Vista and more polished than any Linux distro I've used so far.
