This 35C limit is hilarious, can't wait to see when they launch in other countries in August

The 35C limit is nothing new though. I was curious about this when they claimed to have only updated that support note to include the 3GS as well as the 3G, so I had a look back through the internet archive. Check the operating temperatures and "non-operating temperatures" of the original iPhone on this page from August 2007 - http://web.archive.org/web/20[....]e.com/specs/iphone/iPhone.html - exactly the same as the figures in that support document that everyone's making a big deal of now.

I'm not denying there might be an issue with the 3GS - my own 3G seems to get a bit warmer since the 3.0 upgrade - but it's fact that officially nothing has changed, and the 35C limit is not news.

and now for something completely different...

Apple's iPhone 3GS gets two more handheld video mounts (Engadget)

Look, it's not like Apple's iPhone 3GS is really equipped with the necessary hardware to shoot your next feature film, but given the high-profile nature of the device, it's no surprise to see a veritable cornucopia of video mounts making their way onto the scene. Just weeks after a completely over-the-top shoulder mount emerged, we've now got a pair of handheld grips ready for the amateur crowd...

Jailbreak & Unlock officially released by the Dev-Team

Edit: Can't see the blog from work, presumed it would be updated but unsure whether it has been. Anyway, redsn0w 0.8 supports the 3GS jailbreak (download the official torrent from HERE) and also sorts out the Push problems with hactivated devices.

Ultrasn0w in Cydia has been updated to support 3GS unlocking.

So Apple finally release a Phone in 2009 that has features that were present in 2006, and in all honesty should have been found on the very first IPhone release, and fans start drooling and getting wet with excitement =D.

Nothing new. It still wont appeal to most people who arent either American, living in London, have a super high income and are able to afford a second or third 'shiny new toy' on top of their current Nokia, SE, HTC or Blackberry handset.

Even i think that's a little harsh
The iphone, in it's latest incarnation, has now evolved in to something i can quite happily use, and recommend to others

It is an ok specified phone now, but still out of date and underspecified. By now we should have had an I Phone HD, or at least 5 MP and a wider resolution. VGA resolution is so 3-4 years ago =D. My next phone will have to be a HD quality one, this third gen I Phone would still be a downgrade for me.

They are always far below average spec for the amount of money they ask for it.

Nvidia tegra smartphones or Snapdragon ones will be stomping all over this one soon, as well as Samsungs current offerings and will probably still be cheaper with HD features.

Nothing new, nothing exciting, nothing innovative, its just that Apple have finally caught up to the level that the I Phone 1.0 should have been at several years ago.

@Bhavv = Yawn. Months pass and you still can't change the record. If you can't post anything positive or more to the point DIFFERENT in iPhone discussions, then move along and post in another thread for a phone you actually OWN!
