Mystery Sony Ericsson site is now revealed:
Apparenly, using the site, you can create style-up covers for your W508 and naturally buy the finished product afterwards. Pretty neat, huh? But there’s more! There’s a competition that awards the best designs with some pretty neat prizs (i.e. a PS3, a pair of wireless speakers, a W508), the winners of which are determined by popular vote. So even if you don’t own a W508, it’s worth it to take part. Hit the source link for pictures.

Its not necessary that the whole site is dedicated to just that, maybe its a part of it, like a contest within that site. you never know...

...you can't honestly assume that it will be only known by esato members and besides, not all of us buy SE phones. All I'm saying is that a PS3 (nevermind the others) is up for grabs, so ordinary consumers will be attracted to this site. It's not very often you get to design phone covers you know...

I remember SE doing this when the W550 was released. You could upload your own designs as well to use on the cover. They were quite expensive to buy though. Cost was £35 and took nearly 3 months for delivery. Quality was very poor as well. Looked like someone had thickly painted the facia and then glued the design down then thickly sprayed lacquer over it. Wasn't a competition with it though.
