According to phoneArena.com:

"According to Symbian Freak, a new firmware version 21.0.025 is now available for Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. It is currently available for certain product codes (locations), although not as an over the air (OTA) update. We believe it will be available worldwide soon enough. There is no official "what´s new" log yet (or even an announcement for that matter), but early adopters claim the update has improved camera quality and snapshots look better. Actually this is still one the most fiercely criticized aspects of the phone.

Others claim the 5800 has already become “The No.1 selling portable MP3 player in UK”, at least according to information from the latest GfK Retail and Technology figures for Jan-Mar 2009, as cited by Symbian Freak. If the information is correct, this is a major success, even if coming as no surprise, given its impressive sales worldwide."

Who has the 5800, try to update and post some pictures here in esato with the newest firmware if you can. Now I'm really thinking to get one.

I have a new handset just been sent to me (0559066 - Euro2 Red) which i've just used OTA to upgrade to 21.0.025, images do seem a little better. The non-opening text message envelopes issue is fixed now also. Altho occasionally the phone still does a cold reboot when you turn the camera on, this bug hasn't been fixed.

I did mine last week. It seems only to be available OTA.

The main thing I noticed is that GPS lock is lightening fast now... almost as fast as my Garmin GPS in fact.

In fact I'd say this is the best GPS phone I've had and it gets a lock quickly in trains and buses where my previous X1, Diamond etc had trouble

never heard of it, but I've always preferred the Garmin software over TomTom or others I have tried

I remember wew had an option of alphabetic lock code in v20 and older.
now in v21 it's numeric only.
it could be a problem, if you're upgrading with a non numeric lock code

Did mine a few days ago. Werid thing OTA said i was up to date with v20, but plugged into NUS it found the update and updated my phone.

Only one thing annoys me still (same as v20) that i like to have my text messages ordered by who sent them not by date, But soon as you change this option then close messages it will of changed back to date when you load this again.

The phone is a bit faster, but the overall speed is still slow compared to non-touch phones,I think the main problem of this phone is its rotation sensor.
Camera is still the crappier camera on phone I ever seen!
Whatever FW they are releasing this phone remain a loser
