Como mejorar el browsing en una Bold/Curve 8900/Tour:
Abran el Browser, van a Options, luego a General Properties.
Deberia estar asi:
Default browser: Internet Browser
Default Font Family: BBAlpha Sans
Default Font Size: 10
Minimum Font Size: 10
Minimum Font Style: Plain
Default View: Column (pueden cambiarlo desde el navegador pulsando la "Z" pero en Column se ve mejor)
Las otras las dejan como estan.
Checkmark en "Closing Browser on Escape" - Cierra el browser completamente (para problemas de mucho consumo de memoria y ram)
Checkmark en "Closing Modified pages"
Y luego Salvan.
En el Browser Configuration option, Checkmark en "Support JavaScript", pero NO en "allow JavaScript popups" pues esta ultima opcion pone el Browser lento. El resto de opciones deberian estar elegidas.
Muchisimo mejor de navegar con esta opcion. Me dicen que tal. Pueden jugar intercambiando el tamaño de las fuentes (entre 8 y 10) pero siempre manteniendolo en la fuente con el nombre de BBAlpha Sans.

Ese me va bien en una Pearl con 4.5 y en una Bold con 4.6
Mini Review del OS 5.0.238 en una Bold
Ventajas:
*Bastante rapido
*Tema principal asemeja al del Storm
*Nuevos menus, y se ven mas redondeados
*Bootscreen es el logo de blackberry cargando (carga como una PC, no el relojito fastidioso)
*Slide para ver las fotos (usando la bolita)
*Facebook 1.6.2, Windows Live Messenger 2.5 y los demas (YIM, AIM, etC) son compatibles.
*Implementacion de Google Gears (se pueden instalar muchisimos add-on como el del GoogleDocs Offline, etc)
Desventajas:
*No le sirve el browser. Aunque encontre una forma de repararlo siguiendo unas guias raras. Pero vuelve y se daña y hay que estar mandando los Service Books o haciendo el Reconcile now.
*Muchisimos programas no son compatibles.
*El BBM 5.0 OTA no es compatible. Yo lo pude poner a funcionar con el BBM que tenia en la PC (instalandolo por el DM)
Bueno, aqui hare el peq resumen de lo que hice:
Descargue el OS 5 del link que pusieron en Crackberry. Luego pase a borrar la antigua instalacion del 4.6.266 que habia en mi PC y lo cargue por el AppLoader (loader.exe)
El proceso tomó entre 30 y 40 minutos. Me dio gusto ver el nuevo boot screen, asemeja a una PC, con el logo de blackberry y una barra cargando abajo (similar al iPhone, LOL).
Luego que por fin estaba funcional, lo primero que hice fue ver el BBM, para mi sorpresa trae el BBM 4.7 (de la BB Tour), mejor que el BBM original pero una Mierd* comparado con el BBM 5.0 al que ya estoy acostumbrado.
Probe los contactos, agenda y eso, todo funcional y rapido. Es bueno ver que Facebook y el WLM funcionan perfectamente, algo que no pasaba en la anterior version .190
Lamentablemente el browsetr no es funcional, no en nuestro pais. Solo permite navegar usando Wifi (pues solo esta disponible el HotSpot Browser). Para hacerlo funcional tuve que seguir una guia AQUI para poderlo reparar.
Luego de eso el browser "botaba" las configuraciones y tenia que estar mandando los libros de servicio para arreglarlo. Es un bug que me imagino no pasará cuando llegue la version final para mi provedor: Claro.
Aparte de ese bug (tremendo por cierto), y la incompatibilidad que imagino se ira arreglando a medida que los programadores actualicen sus programas, no veo pq no actualizar.
Este jueves (mañana) me podre a hacer un hibrido entre el 4.6 y el 5.0, es decir, los archivos que hacen que el browser del 5.0 de problemas, los sobre-escribiré con los del 4.6 a ver que tal.
