Basicaly like one of my previous Topics i'm fed up of my C905, so i'm selling it on eBay to get a new phone.

Which phones better and why:
Blackberry Storm
or
HTC Touch Diamond

Just need to know the ups and downs as i know both are nice and have found somewhere online that supplies both phones unlocked and sim free

Storm.

Nice features, decent camera, good video recordings, feels good in hand.

I was torn between the Storm & Iphone but thats another thread and the iphone won hands down but out of your choice i'd go for the storm.
New screen name, jf2404 is my old one.

IMO it probably wouldn't be wise going for the Storm now, apparently a Storm II is in the works with an improved screen.... havent used one before, but the 'push-in' effect on the Storm's screen isnt good i've heard. Also another downside to the two phones you've mentioned, is the Storm doesn't have wi-fi

Have you looked at the Touch HD? And perhaps the BB Curve 8900/ BB Bold?

Essentially comparing a BB and an WM device is a tough one, both have their plus points and down points. BB super secure email, WM with the catalogue of 3rd party apps... some think the interface can be a pig at times though.

if the storm had wifi it could very well have been my first ever blackberry...

I've had the diamond and its a neat little package.

be aware the diamond II is on its way soon, actually, according to rumours, so is the storm II (with wifi) later this year

Diamond 2 is already available, just google/Ebay to get a simfree one(~£400 upwards though)!
Anyone know when Storm 2 is supposed to be shipping?? I'd wait for it over the original(a friend at Voda has one, prefer the Bold myself(and I don't use them!))......

I've used the Storm and quite honestly, the clicking sensation when you push the screen is nothing but annoying. I'd go for the Diamond (2).

If I had to choose between these two, I'd go for the Diamond. It's a capable little WinMo phone, nice size, decent hardware, and well supported by the likes of XDA-Devs etc (with the possibility of improved ROMs and software to install in the future).

The Storm on the other hand looks like a bit of a dead-end - Blackberry know they got it wrong (thanks to the very harsh reviews etc) and look set to replace it soon with a revised version. It's quite possible they'll change direction with the next attempt and drop things like the odd clickable screen of the original Storm, which could mean the older hardware getting left behind when it comes to software support and updates. Plus it doesn't have wifi, which is a big negative in this day and age (as Blackberry have also learnt). Although I'm not the biggest fan of WinMo, I don't think the Storm really has any advantage over it, it's just a bit wrong-headed generally.

Avoid the Storm and go for a Bold or a 8900.

If you want a Touch Screen. I would go for an iPhone.
