Does anyone know if they can be debranded. Thinking of having a Renoir for my upgrade but would need it debranding as it would have O2's software on it.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose

No problem, you can debrand the Renoir.
You need LGMDP software (http://rapidshare.com/files/146584544/LGMDP_1.5_build_12.14_Sep_16_2008.zip ) and the new firmware (for example open europe K http://www.filedropper.com/kc910-dz-v10k-jan-31-2009-opn-eu-vmcdz ) , then follow this tutorial http://translate.google.com/t[....]htm&sl=fr&tl=en&history_state0

Thankyou.i'll have a look at the links when i get in tonight.I've just bought a SE T700 and G900 and really like them both my upgrade choice's would only be the X1 or Renoir and i'm leaning more towards the lg as i fancy a change.

You can also use LG update, personally i’v got some problem with it (but maybe there was something wrong with my pc), flashing the phone with LGMDP it’s easy with no cost and you can choose your firmware.
If you want other informations ask me, i’ll give you with pm a link of a forum where you can find a lot of stuff about the Renoir.

My Renoir should be here this Friday. Hopefully will be able to debrand it properly. Little unsure still as the guide is a bit unclear.

Wow to my suprise when I got home I found my Renoir had been delivered already.
I've fullt charged it and turned it on and theres O2 stuff all over the place on it.

@PERFECT
I'm still a bit unsure on how to do the debrand. How much of that guide do I need to follow as from what I can make out it shows 2 different methods.

Follow this:

1)Download LGMDP software 1.5 http://rapidshare.com/files/1[....].5_build_12.14_Sep_16_2008.zip
2))Download the new firmware (for ex. K open europe http://www.filedropper.com/kc910-dz-v10k-jan-31-2009-opn-eu-vmcdz )
3) Start LGMDP_EURO and select “NV BACKUP” (and don’t cancel the file)
4) Restart LGMDP, “connect”, then “download” and “select image”
5) With an unzipped firmware file that you have downloaded (with format .DZ ) click “DZ“, “browse…”, select the unzipped file .DZ
6) Select on the left button “EFS ERASE”
7) Click “start”
Wait after some messages and don’t touch nothing, so it will compare “Download complete”
9) finish

Thats a better guide mate. Thankyou. I will give it a go tonight. I have the Renoir open euro firmware which you provided a link to and have unzipped it already. Just wasn't too sure of translation of the guide as some of the wording wasn't right.
