feels quite good in the hand.
slider is fantastic. does not move an inch and has a nice spring action.
haven't had much of a play with it yet.
just trying to kill the battery so i can charge it for first time 
ive had it playing music on and off via loud speaker since around 4pm (around 4 hours now) and also had wifi on. slight youtube watching but mostly just left it connected/searching for networks. still hasnt moved from 28% battery from when i put it on arghhh
o its a 1000mah battery too. bst-33. so guess battery life will be good!

Is it as good as it sounds? And the gold is it cheep shiny paint that wears off or is a true lasting paint? |

Se give the W705 better build quality then a C905.
Yet the C905 is supposedly a higher spec phone, with a gigher price tag, and the c905 build wise is crap, as well as software wise!

WOW! It looks great on live pics  , how is it in hand though? Is it nice to hold and use for long periods of time? Reason i ask is because of those sharp corners it has. Hows the multitasking on it? Eg. Running Media Player, Web browser and an IM app at the same time?

the gold part doesnt seem like its going to wear out. but who knows. with time it might. i cant say.
the build is great! slider is extremely firm (for now) feels good in the hand. dont know if the corners pose a problem @gucci but from what ive seen so far it doesnt. will have to play with it more to answer your question in more detail.
speaker is loud enough. sort of like w890/w880 (a bit tinny) but louder than them.
ooo and the ui speed. definately the fastest SE phone ive used... ever!
even faster than the old k800s etc etc. everything opens instantly.
havent had much of a play but will give it more of a run through when im home from work later. and answer your questions in more details and the ones ive missed.
ooo it is a retail w705. came out here yesterday. $499aud (250euro) unlocked
