How can you reinstall the firmware?
Am getting my X1 is up-to-date and no other option is available. |

I flashed the custom rom way. I already downloaded itjes rom where you get a folder. In that folder there is a file "signed.nbh" or something like that.
Now all you have to do is to rename the file that you downloaded (SE r2 update) to the same name as the one in the folder (bla.nbh) and run the ruu utility. |

Where do you download the SE R2 update file from?
and where to get the itjes ROM folder from?

everything is in the ROM section at xda-developers. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=471
If you want to flash the official update and you dont have a button to continue then go to the ROM section and download the new firmware http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=475482
Now download some custom ROM eg itjes: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=473133
Whenever its all done ad you unpacked everything, you'll end up with a folder for the custom rom and one file for the officoal update. Now take this file and rename it to Kovsimg.nbh. Copy that file inside the custom rom folder and delete the other ruu_signed.nbh file.
Start the ROMUpdateUtility.exe and follow the instructions...
after a while you'll be done. Now you can set up the phone again.
But I'd recomend a backup before flashing since all your stuff will be wiped out except for the micro sd card.

Yes, its version 008 for Generic UK that is (not 006!). I see NO improvement whatsoever! This is even crappier than before!
The camera sucks big time. Still NO zoom in 3 MP camera (what a fraking crap!) and the response is slow and the picture quality seems even less!
And also, NO selection for NO Camera Sound anymore!
The overall performance seems slower and I consider strongly to revert back. I just checked into it for 30 minutes but so far nothing good to report back. I think they (SE) didn't do anything good to it.
Just a lot of work reinstalling all again. Not worth the upgrade so far at all for me!
Of course, updated radio, browser, etc... but nothing usable for me. Still NO flash, neither in opera nor IE.
Very, very disappointed.... again with SE. Perhaps its really time to move on to a different brand now.
So I think that all who "dream" of SE giving the Windows 6.5 sometime later.... I think only... 'dream on'. Not with SE, period!

damn it. was sooo looking forward to it. had high hopes.
honestly not that surprised. SE nvr fails to disappoint.
set really low expectations and SE will meet them.
not sure if i should update anymore.... |

And the bluetooth bug (BT turns off) isn't fixed either.
Happened twice for me already, Swedish R2AA006.
