Hello
I have the choice between a used 2G and 3G,as I don't use 3G anyway, all that matters now in the differences between those 2 is the compatibility with 3rd party apps that you can add after jailbreak
Is 3G more compatible or not? like for video rec apps, the future ibluetooth... |

No, they're absolutely the same when it comes to 3rd party apps mate, everything is compatible on both
Only other difference you may want to consider is the screen, which is slightly better (IMO) on the 3g.
Obviously it comes down to $$, so if you dont need/use 3g and dont care about the sexier looking handset, then go for the 2g |

You mean the 3G screen is better under direct sunlight or it's the same?
in what it's slightly better?

The 2nd generation iPhone (3G) supposedly has a yellowish tint to it - making the 1st gen iPhone better in that respect. |

Just looks warmer compared to the 2g screen. Technically there is probably no difference but i've compared mine to a 2g one before and there was a noticable difference.
That said, I've read about people having differing screens with 3g models, some are more 'yellow-ish' and some have a 'warmer' tone. |

I have tried the Iphone 2G used in the shop, overall for a used iphone it's in exellent condition,no scratches at all,nor on screen nor on the body!!!
BUT!
there is a sort of vertical ''white stripe'' in the middle of the screen, the seller said it's normal because it's the baclight system...Is he right or it's a bad sign?

You should also consider warranty. An iphone 3g will have it for a year but an used 2g model might not have any warranty left at all. The 3g also has GPS if you are interested in that, plus its lighter and thinner on the edges. Itīs made of plastic instead of aluminum though so you have to consider that too. Iīve sold my used 2G last week and bought a brand new 3G, I think it was a good deal and iīm very happy with it. |

The iphoneīs screen doesnt have any stripes or anything like that. The guy is just trying to sell you a flawed device, stay away. Buy an iphone from an apple or carrier shop, itīs much safer. |

The white strip is not very noticeable,it's like if this part of the screen had +5% of light so you can see it with very bright photos only, perhaps the screen has been changed before |

IMO stay away from that particular iPhone vegetaleb, sounds like bad news. |

Anyway, the screen isnīt perfect so you should not buy it. You should get the best for your money. |

Could be a ''made in China'' screen?
He's selling it for 400$ and the 3G for 500$ |

I never said 2g was better than 3g? Yeah better in terms of it being cheaper *in most places* After you said there is only $100 difference in that shop, it's a no brainer tbh - 3g all the way
