Compact Framework 2.0 ? |

I have seen it mentioned that Compact Framework 2.0 is required to be able to use certain apps. Can somebody tell me what it is?
I am new to Windows mobile and it seems esato is the only place where I can get any sense. Everywhere else seems to presume that every user spent their childhood infront of a computer screen learning programming and writing code

I believe it is MS .Net 3.5 Compact Framework you mean.
You can find it at microsoft.com. |

Yes it seems the application I was looking at was rather old and so is referencing an older version.
I would still like an answer to my original question... What exactly is it ?

Without being a programmer (any longer) I'm quite sure it is libraries of functions that a programmer can use to more easily build windows mobile applications.
Read and learn:

Thanks for the info mattiL.
I guess it's just something I shouldn't worry about. If an application requires it, I'll install it.
