no the touch screen is completely seperate from the LCD.

I was a bit worried about this when i bought my screen from ebay however everything turned out fine.

Just get the LCD and it should solve the problem - well at least it did for me.

I solved the problem by puting a small piece of napkin between the screen bottom circuit and the layer above it to creat pressure. And it works.

Seems the problem is the d-pad keys which damage the screen circuits because the phone is to thin.
