i'm working on a huge review of my 12-hours-ago-received-from-mobilefly-p800 and i'm mainly focusing on the stuff the other reviews haven't talked about.

theese are some photos that the people who (still) don't own a p800 might like :

here you can see how the screen is quite readable when the backlight is off and you are in normal light conditions (indoor for example):
http://www.clubsonyericsson.com/products/p800/p800_light.jpg

confirmed: the communicam does have a cover that prevents the lenses to be scratched or covered with dust. the material is the same as the screen: something between crystal and plastic (btw the screen looks really strong)

theese are design details that make the difference with sonyericsson (in my opinion)

theese are the windows tray icons. the one on the left appears when the phone is connected and the other one is always there:

the 5 main shortcut icons can be personalized as much as you can imagine:

and the beautiful view of the package contents

hola alcestes

i write in english, ok?

we'll have the p800 in spain in early februry, although rumours say it will be only sold by vodafone (locked) for a period of three months. this is bad news and if it really happens like this i would recommend everybody to buy it imported. in spain, www.gamalta.com already sells imported p800 for 900€ (everything included).

by the way, don't you know www.clubsonyericsson.com spanish foum?

"(btw the screen looks really strong)"

It ain't that strong... I managed to break it completely by sitting down at my desk and pulling myself towards the desk. The phone, in my front pant pocket at the time, got squeezed between my leg and the desk, and the keypad bent (not broke!) and crushed the screen...

Just a word of caution to you all out there... the p800 is in this sense more pda than phone, you cant put it in any pocket, you cant throw it around (my T39, now recalled for backup duty while the p800 is being repaired, flies around all the time without taking harm), and with the amount of glass on the front, just be c a r e f u l . . .

(and to be really clear, this isn't a design flaw, just a fact of life that comes with that size of touch sensitive screen - its up to us users to realise we cant treat a p800 in quite the same way we might treat our t68 or t39 phones...)

all boxes are the same. what you have seen is the wrapper. if you remove it, this is the real box.

@n | c k_xp:- what you showed or saw is just a cardboard wrapper of the real box wrapped around (the real box) from the earlier photo...
