For those who use TomTom 7, why did you choose it over CoPilot 7 (or others)? I was going to buy something, and CoPilot 7 looked more appealing, but, I don't know all the details of GPS programs.

I want one where the map is resident on the SD card and there is no subscription to buy.

My Tom Tom 7 has NEVER established a connection to the data network from my phone - IE doesnt cost anymore to use than the map you buy. Perfect!

tomtom 7 is not available separately yet

you will need to buy tomtom 6.75 with the asia maps you want, then go to xda developers to get instructions on installing tomtom 7 as they have extracted the executable from another device.

in case you were wondering, tomtom 6 maps do work with tomtom 7

I use Garmin XT for GPS. It has Indonesia's large city maps.
Other softwares I like are mostly from spb : Pocket Plus, Keyboard, Backup, Wireless Monitor, Screenshot.
And a little application : JGU SMS Report Eraser is cool.
One more thing : Pocket Mechanic is very useful.

As there's probably quite a few new WM owners now, I thought I might mention again one of my favourite applications.

its WM Wifi Router which basically converts your X1 (or other WM) into a wireless router and bridges from the wifi to the X1's 3G data capabilities.

I've just loaded it up again yesterday and I notice its got a new smarter interface from when I last tested it.

With this you can connect your laptop or other wifi enabled device as easily as with any standard router.

For me, as well as my laptop, I use it for my iphone when I am in bad O2 3g areas. Also now with the latest iphone update we can download podcasts directly to the iphone, but these are limited to 10mb via the edge/3g network and are unlimited via wifi, so when I want a large podcast I just get it via the X1
