i've been posting here for over a week now and i've narrowed my problem down. i have either a corrupt EROM or GDFS. i thought i could get by with flashing the phone's MAIN and FS then populating the /tpa/preset/custom using a2uploader but i was wrong. i even paid davinci and put up with that arduous process to no avail.
when i plug in my phone one of two things happens:
1. red light flashes 10 times, then the phone goes into SEMC Boot (Flash) Mode or Recovery Mode depending on which button(s) i hold when plugging it in.
2. red light stays solid for an indeterminate period (between 15 seconds to over a minute), then 1. happens.
i can get a2uploader to identify and even read the contents of the phone when in recovery mode (holding 2+5) but not in flash mode (holding c).

so... i figure i need to flash the EROM entirely, or maybe just the GDFS part of it. alas, i have not been able to find either of these online. is there anyone willing to rip me a K850i (preferably one that is/was branded rogers) GDFS/EROM? furthermore, can anyone tell me if there is a way of flashing the EROM for free? i know that the davinci client can do it, but it's gonna cost me another 10euros. i'm pretty sure that one of the nearly 20 softwares i downloaded and played with had this option, though i can't remember if it was capable of doing A2s.
one last thing... sending it to sonyericsson is not an option as i bought this phone over ebay and apparently warranties are not transferable in canada (horseshit). | |

i believe that it's the erom. you will need to upgrade it or fix that one. not sure if this process is available for db3150 phones already.

I think you can use D-Ultimate unlocker to repair EROM , i used it to change my certificate colour from brown to red for free . use v3.3 beta .
