Bluetooth transfer speed not good for music? |

I have read before that bluetooth as a technology is not good enough for transferring high quality sound. Is that true?
Can I expect crisp sound with no background noise or hiss and no dropouts from SE bluetooth products?
I've already tried one from Jabra and wasn't impressed at all.
But THIS, THIS or any of the HBH product line looks good on paper, but how does it perform?

Well, I've got the HBH-DS980 and I'm pretty much satisfied with the quality. Even paired with my trusty old K810, the sound output is fantastic!( although the lows could be a tiny bit louder)
I do not regret buying it at all. Also does a great job at cancelling background noise. Can't even hear the vac while I'm cleaning my room.
I suppose the IS800 are of similar, if not better quality.

Thank you very much for your post. That looks like a nice headset. Can you tell me if there is any background noise in between changing songs (when it is quiet)?
Also when fully charged how many hours of listening does it do?
Any cons with the headset?
Can I plug my own headphones in it?

I don't think hiss and noise is a common problem with all phones. I get a lot of that when playing music with my HTC TyTN (Hermes) paired with SE DS970. But no hiss or noise when pairing the same headset with either K770, P990 or G700.
The TyTN is a particularly bad example of how Bluetooth should work. To make the DS970 work well with skip-free streaming you need WM6, you have to edit the registry and apply a patch developed by one of the gurus at XDA-DEV but which has the drawback of putting a constant load on the CPU and therefor draining the battery in less than half a day.
One the other hand, if you have a Bluetooth 2.0 headset like the Nokia BH-500 paired with the TyTN then you don't need the patch but the audio quality is very poor, like 64 kbps MP3.

I get around 1,5-2 hours of playback per charge and no, i haven't noticed any kind of noise between tracks.
No, you can't plug your own headphones, but the sound quality is great and close to that of my Sennheiser CX-300.
As for the cons, well, the charge could last a bit longer, but other than that it's very good and the sound quality during phone calls is superb too. Strongly recommended.

I use a2dp (bluetooth streaming) to my car stereo and it sounds better than the analog auxilary input and sounds no different than the digital usb input.
I also use it through the MBR-100 through headphones or through my stereo and it sounds fantastic. Not all OEM a2dp implementations use as good bandwidth as some, but SE happen to use enough bandwidth to play 320Kbps mp3 without any loss of quality.
You may rest assured SE bluetooth a2dp is more than adequate for great sounding audio streaming!

It comes down to the design of the A2DP dongle. If it doesn't support external headset's then you need to buy one that does.
For example, the MBR-100 let's you use your own headset.

Unfortunately all my songs are in mp3 format and many of them are in 320kbps format. What's the bitrate of yours in eAAC? |

ah, mp3 format at 320Kbps will sound just fine  Most of mine are between 256-320Kbps. I aim for 320 as often as possible.
