That's fine, I find it comes in useful when my modding experiments go wrong, just extract the FS and replace the messed up files

Also, you can extract an mbn file using this tutorial and using main2raw.
Make patches that way!

I'm totally new at this so probably a stupid querycbut is there anyway to extract applications that are only available on branded handsets? |

you'd need to have the branded FS(.fbn) file to get the apps extracted.
