I'm a redhead lefty... makes me rare in any way.

Your concept is nice, a bit too colourful for my taste, but a different approach.

but yes, i wasn't going for the best ergonomics
my goal was to show that "feature-phones" don't need to be boring (inspiration: brands like bench & wesc - which experiment alot with colors in their line ups)

Guys, the time has come that i'll be leaving the thread to a better hand soon. this year we didn't see much concepts, but we saw qualitative works from various Photoshop geeks around the world which imo matters more. if anyone else would like to host the next version of Esato Concepts please inform me via PM you guys don't really need to compile all the works of our designers here in a list. I just did that because of the inspiration WhiteEye shown when he was building his thread before. but if you guys think that continuing the list wouldn't be much of a bother then it'll be nice any suggestions guys?

and Jack: i love that concept, your concept shows fresh colours which is really cool

btw: my next concept will be published on the next concept thread version. i'll be reviving the jacknife/swivel form factor and will be finally publishing my first fully customized windows mobile 7 UI

Hi Guys,

I have a special request to those of you artist feel so inclined to take the challenge.

For the ending of 2009 (or beginning of 2010), I'd love for you guys to do you best and create your own vision of modernizing a classic powerhouse. This powerhouse was the first to bring Bluetooth to the mass market by Ericsson^1 (Homeage to History). This phone offered the LARGEST Call and Standby times of ANY phone for almost 4yrs! This bad boy was sought after by ANY phone officianado across the world for almost 2yrs. For almost 4yrs this held the Thinnest Phone title (18mm thick)!! Its display was 101x54pixels almost an exact opposite of the Ericsson T68m/SonyEricsson T68i - 101x80pixels. Don't be afraid to take this challenge even if it debuted before your cellphone time.

The challenge is to modernize the venerable Ericsson T39m. Give it a familiar A2 GUI but in Landscape. This is no easy task if you can do so with the classic tab UI. of course give it a rich color GUI. Give it new features if you like, and you don't have to have a flip in the true sense or at all. Please keep it slim, and do your best to make it sexy.

This challenge is for you gentleman; Razec, echo.shane,Xell, tob!s, Sealover94, and to anyone looking for a non pre-conceived concept of their own. Think of this as something you'd do as a job.

Should this concept of any of you get huge/massive community appeal - then any implied rights to creating it, thinking up of it is ALL yours and you can do as you please, even if it gets you a job working at SE internal design. I actually hope it does to be honest as you guys ALL have produced some tantilizing concepts worthy of even 's modern product line.

Well WhiteEye managed the 2nd version couple of years ago, and he owe us some time for his long absence while taking charge of the version 2 (well WhiteEye it's payback time! ) apart from him I can't find any other person to fit the job except you and the rest of the experienced designers. i would like to close this thread soon so 2010 thread may head on but first we need a volunteer

Anyway here's my next big thing for 2010 concept thread, also a new style of showing my project codename (look at the upper right):)

XPERIA™ X001
My vision of the realy ecological phone by SE. It combines the power of solar cell and the methanol battery. It has very simply design with the transparent tank for the methanol. And on the backside is the large solar panel.
