That's what I was thinking when I saw it too. Why can't SE make such a phone (a la Prada, Viewty, etc.)? It would be SO nice, since SE are great at UI's.

He already said. They technically didn't announce anything at CES--they announced stuff before CES.

I'm impressed that they're sticking triband HSDPA in all of their "a" models, even in low-mid end phones. Very impressive. Kudos to SE.

I don't have to explain myself to you, but as said, they announced it the night before CES.

Fine then whatever you say but i still take it as a MWC appetizer and a look at what could be in store for 2009. i mean in my own opinion this is an excellent phone and should sell a lot. Hopefully that does happen and we do get a touchscreen walkman.

The W715 was also revealed today. Does this have a codename?

Or is it the same as the W705's?

Thanks laurenke01.

I like to keep track of the many codenames in circulation.

Interviewed at CES, Dicky mentioned some exciting smartphones will become available in 2010, a long way away I know but something to look forward to nevertheless.

Geeeeeez... 2010? A shame, but that is kind of what was expected, given the SF stuff.

And you're welcome. I like the codenames too.

Codename source: SEMC Blog.

No one needs your explanations but if you are not sure in something don’t post it. All the phones had been announced at CES in Las Vegas.

Dude...

He was playing a word game. The C510 and W508 weren't announced AT CES, they were announced BEFORE CES. CES began today, and those phones were announced yesterday. It's a minor technicality but he did not mis-speak or give false information.

Heh, yeah, misleading it certainly was. But it was probably supposed to be.

Far too often people have been certain things will be announced only to have them recalled or canceled at the last minute, so what better tactic is there to know something will be announced but, on technicality, say nothing will be? You know? Therefore people are surprised as opposed to disappointed.
