I got myself a G900 a few days back and its so crap that I simply smashed it to pieces today. Now I really need a smartphone for work. I played with the N97 recently and it has a stupid space bar but still, it is not that bad at all. Camera is excellent, feels nice and the OS maybe crappy but its better than WinMO. The d-pad next to the qwerty is a very smart move, makes life a lot easier.
Unless show something soon, you get the feeling that Nokia will have this out long before and selling. I'm tempted to go for an old P1 or W960 since I'm desperate! are keeping things tight and even my source is silent but to be honset, its taking too long i.e. good stuff a long way ahead from what I gather.
Sorry guys but the proper N95 replacement looks so good and they have covered everything, its a rare ultimate phone. People wowed by the N97 will be blown away.
I have not seen the response, I have heard little but the OS plays and looks like UIQ. UIQ lovers should be happy........ |

It's not that easy since even Nokia was not able to properly replace N95
As for SE, IMO X1i is the right thing, currently also in my hands.

Well 12.8mm with 8mpx, gps, HSDPA, BT2.1 inside sounds very good.
I hope SE isn't lazy....

8 megapixel CCD... sounds interesting but i think it's not that good because the sensor is very small as the whole phone is very slim.

The thread has been mentioned in What Mobile.
Oh, and regarding SE and OLED screens. SE has already had one in production which was announced over a year ago - namely the W54s - although it is true one is yet to be seen outside of Japan.
See - here.
Touch screen is a different story although I also seem to remember a story whereby small OLED screens were being put on hold for the time being.

One question: Why competitor?
Does SE have anything similiar in his portfolio? I don't think so. So what?

Wandy wold? Sorry sandy gold? Sweet. I actually think releasing new colors is sweet. It also looks like a futuristic phone with retro coloring. Now i really want to dump the 705 for this. Damn you sony ericsson and your power to release new colors for phones. |

Impressive feature set indeed. Let's see if this gets announced before Hikaru, whose features have actually been posted in rather great detail earlier on.

Hikaru. A never ending story. I believe it first, when I've saw it.
Errrm... How long do we wait now for this device? I think over one year - and it's still a rumour.
At the moment the new Samsung handset is my favourite for the near future - even without WiFi. It isn't a Must-Have for my own. It's only a goodie .
PS: I hope this is good English - my English isn't as good as my German .

That Samsung looks pretty impressive. Hopefully the 8.0MP CCD sensor is real and performs decently. |

Good news !!!!!
SEMC Blog wants to wish you a Happy New Year! And let the new 2009 bring you only pleasant surprises! Sony Ericsson also prepared some pleasant surprises for us. Some of them will be released very soon - in February, others will be released later. Cyber-shot portfolio will be significantly increased. Cyber-shot portfolio got new form-factors, touch-screens, 12-Megapixel cameras and optical zoom! Walkman portfolio also got some updates. I would like to highlight a new Walkman 4.0. It will be real surprise. I would say, that new Walkman 4.0 supported themes. Yeah!
