and don't tell me if you don't like what SE doing,change brand!!!
I love SE and I'll continue to buy its products, but only because I am a fan for a long time, if SE continue this strategy SURELY not attract new audiences.
when it was announced the very awaited Shiho, rumored like beast flagship,I was very very disappointed! because I expected better but all the ways I have bought and I repurchase it 1000times because it is beautiful and I am super satisfied, but if they give me performance equal to the other brand like jack or VGA I would have been much more happy

A lot of you guys are wrong. Hikaru is very nice in the flesh, it looks and feels like a premium device. The flash is nice and bright. The photoshop isn't 100% correct. It's not meant to be a smartphone or anything like that, it is what it is and it does it very well.
Santa's right about the 'X1 successor' not being the correct term to use. X1 hasn't been out for too long so its not smart to bring out a replacement/competitor so soon, expect that at the end of the year. This Xperia is not supposed to be like the X1.
Every single company has made an iPhone style phone except for  so maybe its time has come..........the W960 hasn't had an update in a while. Maybe the new Xperia will be this? |

Methinks, it's about time SE released a s60 touchscreen, with a200 icons and look user interface. Especially since it's a natural first step to SF os. If Samsung can do it then Se can do it too (but with a 6 month release wait). |

Sony Ericsson isn't a company that has to cater your needs... no let me rephrase that... wants. I can't see how on earth people can start complaining about a design judging on a computer photoshop of the phone not from Sony Ericsson themselves. If people are disappointed, they deserve it because they disappointed themselves. Everyone's always whacko when someone reveals a little bit about a phone here... it's crazy. Then things start escalating to a point where true information is not shared around properly... People here only listen to what they want to hear. Once the product is revealed, they only moan and cry.

I don't lament the design!
in the pic,the phone is not clear and missing other shape and the back...but I am sure that sony ericsson don't mistake!because i know the building lines of sony ericsson design
I lament the features! like that again, are good but not competitive

I agree 1000%! S60 is a nice, stable UI, but I'd love to see what can do to make it less unbearably boring. Their innovative UI mixed with S60's stability would be awesome.

I think hikaru's features (as far as we can speculate/assume) are pretty good. It's a feature phone. Touch, while would be great, is not required. Screen is sufficient, I think.
I'm curious what SE has to show at MWC. Maybe a OLED touch screen device? that would be great! |

These are MOBILE phones, not mini laptop's, not multimedia computers, phones. As such they should be small not with a crazy pointless 4 inch screen!
What's the point in a thin device when it feels like a slate in your pocket? I think I am in the majority as I don't know anyone who wants 'bigger' screens.

Compact touch screen phones do exist, and they are obviously for a different market. Some people desire bigger screens, despite the sacrifice in footprint. |

Ah, the problem with the HTC range is the crap camera's in them, no flash even, just like the iPhone. I want a decent camera which is why I would always get an X1 or even the N97 if I really had to, HTC just don't seem interested in camera's. Yes I do know they make the X1. But the X1 has the same brilliant camera interface as my G900. HTC are pretty damn good otherwise.
